Hello All,

I have twin sons in Yokosuka, one on the Fitz and one on the Shiloh.  Miss them terribly and they have only been there since last September.  One is very good at keeping in touch by Skype every Saturday he is in.  The other I have heard from about 5 times but they both did Skype on my birthday in April.  We have no other children so the house is too quiet.  I look forward to hearing about other's sailors and the pics are beautiful!

Here is the link to USPS site for all the info on the military kit for packaging supplies. They will send them directly to you for free. All you have to do is call the 800 number listed on the site.

FYI - $2 is the discount, not the price to ship.  I sent one yesterday and it was $13.45 for the large box.  There is a little discount on the small and medium also but I can't remember what it is.

rominpa you can also order them from usps and they will send them to you. You get a discount when you ship the large box only of $2 a box. You can also order the international forms you need with each box and have them all filled out before you get to the post office. I have a stash of them as I also send stuff for Molly's adopt a sailor.

I get my flat rate boxes @ the post office and they come in different sizes

Blondie, where do you get those flat-rate boxes?  do they have them at the post office?  I've been sending mine through UPS and they've been charging me around $20/box.

Agree they love mail and boxes. I think just adding money to his account at home is easier. Have you found the flat rate boxes from the post office worked the best?

Thanks Blondie. He is on base for now I will send lots of snacks. Everything tastes better when mom buys it. Where or how can I purchase a card to use @ the next for him?

My son arrived in Yokosuka on May 17th and is loving it so far.  He will be on the Mustin which is in dry dock right now.  My son is asking for some care packages anyone have any ideas?  Sounds like he is going out on the town a lot so he must be eating well and learning about the culture.
