idahojeep - My son is on the Wilbur. If you aren't already on the Japan Moms group be sure and join. It's a very active group with lots of good info!
Hello All,
I have twin sons in Yokosuka, one on the Fitz and one on the Shiloh. Miss them terribly and they have only been there since last September. One is very good at keeping in touch by Skype every Saturday he is in. The other I have heard from about 5 times but they both did Skype on my birthday in April. We have no other children so the house is too quiet. I look forward to hearing about other's sailors and the pics are beautiful!
FYI - $2 is the discount, not the price to ship. I sent one yesterday and it was $13.45 for the large box. There is a little discount on the small and medium also but I can't remember what it is.
rominpa you can also order them from usps and they will send them to you. You get a discount when you ship the large box only of $2 a box. You can also order the international forms you need with each box and have them all filled out before you get to the post office. I have a stash of them as I also send stuff for Molly's adopt a sailor.
Blondie, where do you get those flat-rate boxes? do they have them at the post office? I've been sending mine through UPS and they've been charging me around $20/box.
My son arrived in Yokosuka on May 17th and is loving it so far. He will be on the Mustin which is in dry dock right now. My son is asking for some care packages anyone have any ideas? Sounds like he is going out on the town a lot so he must be eating well and learning about the culture.
