Hello All :)
My son is working on his Air Pin ... passed the written test and is having his "Board" as I write this. Can anyone shed some light on exactly what this means .... Many thanks!
think they'll let me walk onto the plane with him? haha we're getting the last minute things done today. when i get back to work we are on 12 hour shifts for awhile so I won't have much time to be feeling sorry for myself! Unfortunately the airport we're using is almost 4 hours away which will give me about 3 1/2 hrs sleep before that 12 hour shift. no rest for the weary right? i'll be more relieved when he gets signed into his ship and is there you know? thanks to everyone for the encouraging words - it helps
I was going to ask them if I could go to the gate. I don't know if it'll be easier or not though lol my family is real supportive so I have alot of shoulders to cry on. I know he'll be fine - this will be the rough spot for him is the long flights and getting checked into Yokosuka. After that everything should fall into place for him
my son leaves tomorrow for Yokosuka. i've been reading some posts and crying my eyes out for you and me! I'm so happy for him and I know he'll be fine but it hurts so bad to have him leave again. I will try my hardest to hold it together at the airport as I don't want him tearing up and getting embarassed. But I feel like my insides are being ripped out and this lump in my throat won't go away. He'll be stationed on the USS Cowpens and his sponsor has been super. He's not allowed to take very many bags with him so I'm hoping I'll get an address for him soon and if he can or wants something I can get it to him as quick as possible. Thank you all for being there when I need you <3
Thanks everyone. Having you guys here to type at sure helps.
