I am on the east coast of the US. So I agree with the start of our day to pray as it is the end of theirs.  Morning prayer 9am EDT!  Just knowing we are all praying together is uplifting. Do not forget to tell those who we are praying for.

I'm in too. I think at the end of their day (and start of our own) as they sit and process what they've seen and heard that day... 9 hours from now it would be 6 am pacific and 10 pm tokyo (that makes it 9 am EDT)--is that too confusing? throw another time out if you prefer.

I am fairly new too, but glad for the company and support.

I know I am new to this site.  Reading the posts speaking prayers leads me to offer this.  There is strength in praying together. No matter where we live, if we set a time of day to stop to pray for our kids can achieve powerful results. Please comment.

I have heard from my son Forrest, he lives off base and says it is sad there. He always puts others first and he feels for the Japanese Nationals.  Shops are closed, no gas, no one is out, he says.  As a mother with a strong faith, still find the emotions strong with worry for him and his fellow shipmates.

My daughter called last night and they detected radiation at the Atsugi base, that is where she is, also another quake this morning, woke her up out of bed, she said it was a good size one. Im so worried about all our service men and woman. I hope if things get really bad they evacuate them.

I booked a trip to Japan last week before the earthquake. It's for April 13th because he's deployed from May until December. I'm hoping I can still go to see him:( I need to see for myself that he's ok. You moms know what I'm talking about.

Ang/Bondie, I hear you it is so nice to have such a wonderful support group through Navy Moms! I think at this point we are all so worried about our kids in what their state of mind must be. I think right now they aren"t thinking just on auto pilot and when things settle down thats when they will be thinking and have a hard time with everything that they have seen. My heart gooes out to them all! I am so proud of my son/sailors!
