Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

aww yea i bet. he called me as well as the rest of his division called their loved ones last on aug. 30th and i missed his call. he sounded so down and i just bawled my eyes out when i heard the vm. hopefully soon, i can't wait!

ok thank you... apparently some of the recruiters have said it'd be a hassle and a lot of work for the navy to set back an entire division. so we are just all remaining positive and i'm sure they are doing well and will come together as a group :)

if his grad date got changed, then yes, you would be informed. no need to worry about that

question for you WHO: if there's a possibility there PIR may be delayed a week would we get a call this week from our sr or someone letting us know to change our plans?? my bf's PIR is scheduled for 10/1 but my mom and I are supposed to be traveling the day before all day. I would need to know in enough time to change everything around at work :(

There is a rifle team, but that's called the drill team. And the only sailors that have their names announced and get to shake the reviewing officers hand are the award winning recruits.
