For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Any questions regarding DEP, boot camp, A school or in between can hopefully be answered here. I myself was in boot camp from June-August of '09 and am now stationed in Norfolk, Va. This site helped my mother so much, its my time to return the favor.

Comment by alessandrabeason on September 18, 2010 at 12:52am: i believe he just finished up week 5 day 5 nicole... so it could be he's busy!! i mean a few other people in his division have gotten letters so i would think the whole division would be in trouble if that was the case. so i'm just thinking mail got delayed or he's super busy .

tiff's mom he's in ship 13 div. 326 but yes i'm in the same boat as you. it's nervewracking and i'm worried sick. i just want to hear from him somehow and know he's all good for PIR and all :) i'll be praying for you :) hang tight! we are almost there!

Thank you, it will be hard, but I have faith that he can do it, he's very tough willed, so lets hope for the best, it's the toughest of the tough..so I guess we will see(:

Comment by Tiff'sMom (Sharon) on September 18, 2010 at 12:12am: She is AECF... but called one day and said it was too full and they were going to make her CNT or something, but I didn't have security addresses ready, so she stayed with AECF and will be on hold in GL for a long time :( She will be either a FC or a ET... it's all computer stuff I think!!

SEALS looks so hard... I wish him luck!! I watched that show on Discovery Channel and it's hard core!! I hope he does it!! It's awesome!!

They should get another call before battle stations, unless she has a bad DIV, where they get in trouble alot, my boyfriend had 2 alotted calls besides the "i'm here" and the "im a sailor" along with 1 extra on top of those 2 that he earned for doing good, they can earn calls for getting things like bravo zulu.(:
