Any questions regarding DEP, boot camp, A school or in between can hopefully be answered here. I myself was in boot camp from June-August of '09 and am now stationed in Norfolk, Va. This site helped my mother so much, its my time to return the favor.

I think who said she might be in week 6.... she PIRs in two weeks.. others in the div got letters... if I don't get one next week, then I'll WORRY!! hahaha Maybe I'll get lucky and maybe they will get to call this weekend. They have had only one call so far :( and she didn't think they would get another until after battlestations, but miracles happen! :)

I think they can workout, Don't quote me though, most of them chose not to in my boyfriends DIV, they wanted the rest time. Firefighting....week 4 maybe? sounds about right..She will be very busy with that, so if you don't get a letter a) she's working VERY hard. b) it's lost in the mail and may take longer. c) her DIV got in trouble.

I don't know the official week! But she goes to firefighting this week, I know that and then on Friday is her final PFA... do they get to go practice on the "holiday" time if they want to, like run and work out??

sailorgirl... what div is your boyfriend? My daughter didn't write this week either. This is the first time she didn't write... :( so we are in the same boat.... Poor Who... you were having to give the same story on two different places, I'm sorry!!

Most of the time, they don't let them get to them, especially with constant letters, my boyfriend said that they didn't even phase him, he laughed it off, because i told him daily how much he meant to me, and reasons for everything, so yeah..it keeps them going, the letters do!

thanks you two. i have been extremely upset and no one seems to understand other than people who have been thru this before!! thank you for the prayers :) i need them, i 've been a mess lately. you think i'd be okay as it approaches PIR on 10/1 but i'm more worried and i don't want him letting them get to him and all the stress. i keep on writing to him every night and telling him how proud i am of him and how much i love him! and yes a surprise call would be amazing :)
