Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

who.. what are the 300 divisions? i seen 800 and 900 are specific Sr's.

no, they woudnt get in trouble. but it seems like, even where im at now, that the only thing the navy believes in is motrin haha. we call it vitamin M.its their answer for anything and everything, in boot camp i was stalked up on motrin and cough drops

When you say they have to wait for sick call, would they get in trouble for asking for tums at sick call

If it wasn't for this site I wouldn't have known half of what I know, i'll be the kid that when my division gets Recruit Heaven time, when everyone is like "I'VE GOT TO CHECK MY FACEBOOK!" I'll be like, "I've got to check N4M" LOL.

I'm working on those, literally..I have all of this printed out, I carry it in my pocket everyday and memorize all this stuff when I have down time at school. I DON'T want to be under stress, It makes it SOOOO much worse!

Marcy makes a very valid point. i wish i wouldve had the time to do this, i graduated boot camp as an E1.finally all done with being a recruit, and my title was -still- seaman recruit haha.
nicole, thats awesome. you sound very prepared, you shouldnt have many problems. oh, learn the enlisted/officer rank structure and insignias if at all possible ;)

I've got the Sailors Creed memorized, recite it daily so I don't forget(:
I'm working on the 11 general orders, and I've pretty much got Navy time down, i'm learning what I can now, so i'm not under more pressure then need be when I get there!(:

I was considering ROTC program..But I think i'd rather enlist and do college while enlisted, and if I want to go officer after then I will, but i'd like to try enlisted(:
