Any questions regarding DEP, boot camp, A school or in between can hopefully be answered here. I myself was in boot camp from June-August of '09 and am now stationed in Norfolk, Va. This site helped my mother so much, its my time to return the favor.

I didn't realize yall had "food" like that there! :) She would kill for a Chick-Fil-A... but I don't think there are any in Chicago either! Well, I guess since she graduates in two weeks, maybe she is doing OK! I should get a letter tomorrow or Friday. Do you live in an apartment in VA or on base? Have you been out on a battleship (whatever boat you call it) Yet? Do you know when you will be going on one, if you haven't yet?

they will only have her call if she fails the final PFA which is in the last week of boot camp. it all depends on the RDCs. Mine set people back by a week or two if they didnt pass the 2nd PFA and showed no improvement. As far as academics, the big one is test 3, also near the end. other than that, she should be good to go.
and yes, at the NEX there is a taco bell, a kfc and a subway if i remember correctly. also a little gift shop and a place to buy the necessities.

I was reading below where you wrote about the PFA, if she failed the 4 week one, would they have had her call to tell me she failed? When do they have them call when they fail, is it any test or just certain tests? And there is a taco bell on base?? hahahaha

well thank you haha =]
Corpsman A school is in a different section of the base. they have their own little nex and what have you. if a student of any other school goes there, they would say something like, hey im going to the nex on the corps side. i never ventured too far from, uh...home if you will so i dont know much about it. but i have many corpsman friends here now, and one of my RDCs in boot camp was a female corpsman.
