Any questions regarding DEP, boot camp, A school or in between can hopefully be answered here. I myself was in boot camp from June-August of '09 and am now stationed in Norfolk, Va. This site helped my mother so much, its my time to return the favor.

It's not so much push ups, just running. I get short of breath for long runs. I'm already preparing. I'm graduating next year, so i'll have half a year to physically prepare daily. and get ready. push ups, no big deal. running, presents an issue. LOL.

It wasnt all that big of a deal. We had a female division commander that forced us to be the best we could be, to do all the things the guys did...and in some cases do it better. if you're not all that physically in shape, the many push ups might pose a threat...but not for long. haha.
hope this helped

sailorgirl 10 - i went to my boyfriends PIR last weekend, there weren't any lines, we were there by 6:50 am. left at 6:30, about 4 miles away as well.
We were in and seated within 10 minutes, the walk wasn't even 3 minutes to be honest. Not as bad as it seems.

How was bootcamp for you, being that you're a woman, differant from a mans perspective. I'm enlisting in a year and 3 months about.

Well, about an hour or so before the ceremony begins is the best bet. From what my parents have shared about their experience coming to my PIR, there is quite a line of cars at the gate as they check IDs. This could cause some delay. Downside is, first to arrive parks in the back of the parking lot.

my question is around what time should my mom, his mom, and his dad head out to the base? we are only about 4 miles from there at the hotel we are staying at but i heard if you drive in there could be quite a wait. the original plan was to head out from the hotel around 630 am but everyone is telling me now 6am! we are driving in!
