DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I couldn't go to his PIR but we all watched it streaming live on the Navy website which was really cool. We got to see him a whole three times! ;) So your brother is enjoying it so far? Is he liking San Diego and Navy life in general?

Hi Jae! I just joined a couple of days ago and haven't seen much activity. I'm April and my younger brother is in the Navy. His PIR date was 7/3/13 and he's in Pensacola now, waiting to start classes.

I'm new to all this. My little brother left for basic March 12th 2012. I'm really excited, scared, worried & proud of him. This is nothing I could of ever pictured him doing. He was a really shy kid but grew up into a man that everyone loves & wants to be around. I'm happy to see there is a group for siblings like me. I miss him so much. I have a 3 year old who is so sad that her beloved uncle is gone so far & i have a 8 month old daughter. It's sad to me that he is going to miss so much of her first couple of years. But I'm so proud of him!
