sharpmom4 did you recieve that letter today or Saturday?
And can I just say how much I needed this..KWL's mom..I am taking my son to college this week too...no where close to home, but NYC! SO both my boys are far away, all in the same month....
LADIES...LETTERS ARE ON THE WAY!!! I got mine from my SR and his spirits are HIGH! He says hes actaully having a somewhat good time and their RDC's rock!! Says a few int he group dont know when to keep their mouth shut so they have been in trouble a few times, but he says the PT they had to do becasue thye got in trouble was disappointingly easy!!! He was a completely different kid writing that letter, thanked us for everything, said he knew God's hand was all over him and that he knew this is the path that the good Lord chose for him. Said he missed us so much it hurt but that its actually going by quick!!! The letter was dated last Wed and he said they were tackling the swimming part the next day and he signed his letter Your True Blue American War Hero.. I can breathe again!!! Thanks be to God!! Hang on ladies..they are coming!!!!! Cant wait to hear from everyone when they get letters...oh yah, he also said he was making a few good friends and there were 2 that he knew were going to be life long friends!!
Thanks everyone. Just not a very good day. Maybe we'll get that phone call that we are all wanting to get.
Uuhhh, maybe I shouldn't have mentioned my letter.?
So sorry to hear about your cousin. I, too, will pray for you and the family.
If this is the week to be missing our SRs more than ever, then I'm thankful for the distraction I have this week (of getting my oldest off to college). Next week, I'll completely fall apart with neither of them home, and my youngest left a couple of years ago.
Another bit of news: My son had been told he would have his wisdom teeth pulled during boot camp, but they didn't pull them! - maybe later on, but they aren't a problem right now :)
momproudofdanny unfortunatlly I know exactly how you feel on all accounts.
Thanks, SR Dunn's Mom.
I'll say prayers for you (Danny's Mom) Thats the one thing I'll NEVER lose is my faith!!
Wow, SR Dunn's Mom - I'm having the same kind of day too. Missing my SR very much. And to make things a little worse, I receive a phone call from my mom and my oldest cousin killed himself this morning. Not a good day. Very lost and very sad.
Missing my boy so much! I don't know if its getting better or worse? I miss walking by the couch when he is asleep and just touching his face and giving him a kiss on the cheek! Morning coffee on the front porch! I even miss picking up his dirty socks that always end up every where except where they belong! Miss fixing him his favorite breakfast! Been going crazy figuring out how to get to his graduation on Oct.5th. I'm not a rich woman and struggle everyday just to get by. But God is Good and will provide what we need! Much Love to my son!
