I haven't received a letter either. I work at the Veteran's Hospital so I get a lot of advice from the vets. I've been told that they usually get mail on Sunday's. So I expect that today they will all be getting our letters and also be able to write back today if they have time.  I was also told that they get phone priveleges after the second Sunday so I am hoping to get a phone call maybe today if this is still the way it works. One of the guys I work with is retired Navy who spent over 30 years with new recruits.... Hope he's right because I would love to hear Cole's voice right now.

Got a letter!!!!! He's "doin' okay" Not great, or good, but okay. He loves the food, and wishes the trays were bigger. :) I thought since we hadn't gotten a letter on Wednesday or Thursday, we'd have to wait til next week. Check your mailboxes!

Thanks KWL's mom - this was the outfit that Danny came home in from the hospital.  Good luck on your trip and be safe.

Mom Proud of Danny: I see you changed your profile picture; cute. I've been reading these posts on e-mail, so haven't been here to the site lately.

I've been focusing so much on my SR, and wanting to get reservations made. We're driving, and we need to rent a van. (Actually some friends are driving, and my mom and I are riding along.) But now I must take a break from this (the Navy) for 8-10 days. My oldest son is 22; he has finally gotten tired of working at a fast food restaurant and has decided - yesterday - to go to college. Great! I'm so excited for him. But this is not a local college. He's leaving for Florida next Saturday! Wow, my life is sure going to change fast! (And so is his. :)) Not sure I want to tell my SR, as he might not want to know that his mommy will be alone. He wants to concentrate on BC and not be distracted.

Sooo much to do, but I am addicted to this site! :) Many others in the PIR 10/5 group are getting letters; haven't seen anyone from CC mention it, yet. But it sounds like it might be soon! :)

I plan to make reservations this week as well. Last time we stayed at the residence Inn got a great rate at priceline and it was great as the had a meal on thursday night and breakfast both mornings.  I thought I would check out some of the other hotels from the brochure this time.  I just got busy with school starting and writing letters.  Anybody have a fire controller out there other than me?
