I GOT THE FORM LETTER!! Just when I thought I couldnt make it thru the day..GOD PROVIDED!  I had even asked God this morning to tak away my sdness and then I read this  9But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

And that pumped me up and I realized THIS is what I was raising him for, to go out and see the world, too live his life and do something great, to  spread his light to all nations...I prayed that I woud implant this scripture in my hearta nd call on it when needed and now my daughter just brought me the mail and there was his form letter..Card Company Ship 14, DIV 325...no note attached at the back but he addressed it to Momma Sharp to show me he still has his sense of humor and his handwriting was BEAUTIFUL!!! Better than I ever thought It would be.,,hang on ladies, they are coming!!!

I know what you mean about the depressing part.  When we didn't get any mail for 3 days,  and I mean absolutely nothing, I was worried that someone was stealing our mail and that I would not get his letter.

Sounds great! I was hoping to meet some moms at the picnic but I couldnt break away from my son's side to talk to anyone. I will also mention Danny when I write to Cole...hoping my letter arrives on Monday. I get home from work and go straight to the mailbox everyday, it's getting depressing as each day passes and still nothing.

We are from the Central IL region.  Maybe we can meet 1/2 way if we decide to meet for dinner or lunch.

Huggy- I dont remember but I did find one pic and a small article on a navy website...im sorry but I dont recall how I found it. I printed the article, but I am at work don't have it with me. I am starting a NAVY scrapbook for my son, I know he will appreciate it one day.

Also is anyone from the Southern IL region? I see that other groups meet occassionally for dinner. I would love to try and do this if anyone else is game.

Future Corpsman mom too.

does anyone remember where they said where we could go to see pictures they took at the ceremonies. I thought they told us but can't remember where and can't find anything.

Proud Navy Corpsman Mom,  I have the opposite problem. I can't go in his room because it looks like he'll be home in a few hours.  I know I can't leave it like that I'm sure there is something in there that might grow legs if I don't. lol   I am so glad my sailor decided to go in right before school starts because then I know I will be too busy to think about how much I miss him.
