Hi Families of Cardinal Company - wow! we are 20 members and hopefully getting bigger. Welcome to all the new members. I just wanted to let you know that I finally called Danny's recruiter again today and played the I'm worried card, and it worked. 10 minutes later I got a call. I really like him, but I felt cheated that I couldn't write to my son and some of you already have. I know now his Ship and Div number so I will be joining that group here a little bit. Take care and I will talk to you all soon. Glo
Mandi, I did take pictures of my son's room (11, I think.) It was a mess! I didn't mind while he was living there, because it was his mess to walk around. No wonder he could never find his sunglasses. I cleaned his room today. I must have found a dozen pair of sunglasses and a few safety glasses. lol. His room is neat now, but it doesn't look like his messy room either. :) or :( So many mixed up feelings.
And I found some vmails :) made my heart smile
MommaG...That is just what I was getting ready to do...it dawned on me to check my vmails for him. I wish I could be of help and pep you up, but I am feeling the same way, but it might bring you some comfort to know that you arent alone...I try to remember i the whole scheme of life, this is just a blip on the radar...very tiny portion of life that they are gone,. but I agree, its the not knowing that is the worst part.
I started watching boot camp video I found on the Survival Guide for Navy For Moms Newbies link. Great to get this information, but last night was just to much. I broke down sobbing. All I wanted was to hear his voice and know that he was doing well. When is the next time they will be able to call home? I even went through my old voice mails to see if I had one from him. No luck. :( Please tell me this gets better.
Today is my son Mason's 19th birthday! Cardinal Company ROCKS! Thanks for letting me be part of the group.
Stay strong Ladies...you'll hear from them soon...I'm sure the form letter should be early next week. ((Hugs)) to you all...talk to you at the end of the month!
I can understand your frustration. This would be the place for ranting because I'm sure that we will all feel like ranting at least once before PIR.
I finally got the phone number for the recruiter, but no phone call back and no email. Not a happy person about this. I don't appreciate being told one thing and that person not following through with what I have been told. Sorry for the ranting, I just want Danny's address so that I can send him my letters.
KWL LOL My husband got out in 91, so now he and I are empty nesters. I also called the recruiter and he gave me the address so I sent off a letter today. I heard about the wisdom teeth thing as well. I don't know if they do it the first week or not. I asked my husband about whether they would all be in the same ship and division since they are all part of cardinal company. He said he would assume so. How's that for a difinitive answer.
