Hello ladies, I'm joining late because I have been recovering from surgery had the morning my son left.  I got the box yesterday after my first full day of work after surgery and was too tired to open it.  Saw the recruiters yestereday when they came to the school to drop off a desk calander and the new recruiters business card but didn't think to ask if they had an address.  This is my third time through the Navy BC thing. It doesn't seem to have changed much except fo the ceremony for Cardinal Company.  Are we allowed to post where we are from or do we need to do that privately?

I put pictures that we took of the ceremony on my page. Hope everyone has had a good day. Writing my son now.

Put off going home, saw everyone talking about "the box" and did not want to face it. Not as bad as I thought it would be. Kinda felt like he was home from college for the night,..you know the  I did his laundry and he was out with friends kinds feel.

Hi all I got the box today too.  Saw when I came home for lunch, shed a tear or two, but I couldn't bring myself to open it until I got home from work today.  Wasn't as sad as I thought it would be.  Put his cell phone back together and put it with his stuff that he wants us to bring to Graduation.  I still don't have his address from his Recruiter.  Not very happy about that.

KWL's mom -  I'm glad you finally got to see the pictures.  That must mean that they were approved.  I haven't received anything telling me to delete any pictures yet.

I got what I thought was going to be the dread box today. Didn't shed a tear. Chuckled first thing I pulled out money fell out of. Now I can wear his navy hat

Mom Proud of Danny, I saw your pictures. Thanks so much for sharing. I only saw the back of my recruit's head in one. Also, my oldest son is in the blue t-shirt on the right in the one of a group of 4-6. I got the box today. Didn't expect it so soon! I took several pictures of my son's room - as he left it. I will start cleaning it...some time.

Welcome to all our new Moms.

Ladies--leaving the group today, as my sailor has been in over 4 years.  However, you've got my member page here if you have any other questions.  Good luck on your sailors' duties and deployments!

Yeah Huggy!! I emailed my son's recruiter on the 10th and still haven't heard from him yet.  He will get another email tonight.

Welcome MommaG!

Good Morning, I am so excited to have found this site. Did not realize that the Cardinal Company had it on page. Looking forward to getting to know everyone and supporting each other through this time in our boys lives. My son Zachary was so excited to join the Navy, we are especially proud and excited to have had him sworn in in such a special way. I have taken several pictures that I hope to get posted for all to share soon.

Yes, I am struggling with being separated. It is hard to walk past his room, I did find a cool site that tells you about each day of boot camp @ www.navydep.com  What Happens at bootcamp. It was helpful.
