I am confused, my son's recurtior said he would be part of the sox's club. He leaves for b/c on Sept. 18th. So I don't know which onehe would be in. Anyone know?

Hi KWL's mom -  looking forward to getting to know  you.  Dawnl -  so sorry you're not going to be part of our group anymore, but on the other hand, you get more time at home with your son.  Good luck to you and thank you for creating this group.

No limits--you just have to call the phone number and pay for your tickets. Think it's on the website link above for info.

My son is part of Cardinal Company 2012. Does anyone know yet if there is a limit as to who can come to the picnic? Are friends invited, or only family?

Good Afternoon!!  I just got a letter in the mail today about that day.  Festivities start at 9:30 a.m. at the Soldier's Memorial where our children will have a ceremonial enlistment on the steps of the Memorial. Next is the picnic in the park adjacent to the memorial.  There is a nominal fee of $5 person (except our Cardinal Company Member).  At 11:00 a.m. our children will march to Busch Stadium where they parade onto the field and take their final oath.  The children will also be sitting in the right field terrace section of Busch Stadium and there is a web site to purchase the tickets for $5 each.  I have placed a call to one of the contacts  at the St. Louis Recruiting office and I have asked several questions.  Like is there a minimum number of people that can attend the picnic and purchase tickets for the game.  What hotel are they staying at and would we be able to meet with him the evening before.  Once I have my answers I will be glad to share this info with all of you.  Can't wait to meet you all.

My son leaves for boot camp August 9, following the game. Anyone know the plan for game day? I'm clueless... Will be attending the game with a group of family & friends, is there also a picnic that day? Look forward to meeting some new friends who can share the NAVY adventure with me :) excited for my son, but have minimal experience with military life.

Hi Cardinal Company Moms!  Have any of you received your packets about the game yet???  I'm still waiting patiently, but I must admit, my patience is about to run out.  We have people who want to get tickets and stuff for the games.  Just curious.

The Cardinal Company is a group of Recruits that are "adopted" by the St. Louis Cardinals.  They spoil the guys for a couple days then the guys swear in for bootcamp on the field during a game and leave for BC the next morning. We were told by MEPS when my son signed his contract he was part of the Cardinal Company; but at that time they didn't have a set date for the game.  We were told the recruiters office would get the information and share with us; so his contracted date for BC would change to accommodate the Cardinal Company.  We have since found out The game is August 9th.
