OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Events

**UPDATE - 2020**

Due to COVID there is no public PIR. The graduations are on Thursday, and the video of the graduation is posted on RTC's FaceBook on Friday at approx 3pm. Please keep in mind that a division may need to complete additional quarantine during training which will delay their graduation.

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Hi All! My daughter Kirstin graduated boot camp Friday and we have been enjoying the weekend with her. She leaves for P'cola on Wednesday and will be a CTN. She told me her A school will be 15 weeks. Can anyone tell me about how long sailors are there before being able to class up?

Thanks everyone! I heard from Kirstin today and won't hear from her again until I get the "I'm a Sailor" call on Thursday. We can't wait for PIR on Friday. She said she is leaving on the following Wednesday for P'cola.

Hello, I am new to this discussion group. My daughter's PIR is 7/24 and she will go to FL to be a CTN. Does anyone else have a son or daughter that is a CTN? I know it's a pretty new Rate and so I haven't seen much about how long A or C school will be. I did get to talk to her today and she hasn't found out yet what her orders are for A school. Thank you for any help!

My son is thinking of cryptology and I'm wondering what type of classes they take? Is it a lot of computer, math, languages or all of them?

Hi, all! Our son graduated from boot camp August 22. He was grad and go and has been in Pensacola ever since. He finished CTT A-School the Friday before Thanksgiving. He is supposed to start his C-School tomorrow. It is five weeks. After that, he has orders (verbal) to Hawaii.
