Odi, your son might wish he was back in Great Lakes this summer when it's 100 degrees and 120% humidity.  It's miserable.

Glad he likes it Debbie, thanks

Thank you! Son is looking forward to school, and being out of Great Lakes weather is a plus too

Son has orders for C school in Fort Gordon March 30. He is excited.  We are in the Northwest so it is a big change - but he has wanted to see the south. We have family in North Carolina which does not look too far

Thank you Debbie - that is so helpful.  I needed a little bit of something that I can give him to look forward to.  He talked to me about getting a car now that he knows where he is going to and now with what you said about the base being so big it probabaly would not be a bad idea for him to get something to get around in.

Thanks again

Hi - I'm new to your group....my son just started "C"school and got his orders today for Ft Gordon. Even though I wish he was going to San Diego -I know that he signed up to see the world but I'm a little confused because there are no beaches around there so what do they do??????
Please help me to find the bright side of this - he is very upset and I need something I can cheer him up with. I gave him the whole God has a better plan for you and keep his head up and finish strong. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
