very nice idea...but you dont want to give away the secrets right?? have you found the info here about Battlestations?? there is a pretty cool 25 page rundown...but really the encouragement is all about listening and paying attention and working together as a team...thats great you are including others in your mailings too...
Okay, any veterans have idea or tips on how to send encouraging letters for Battlestations?
I have been sending extra postcards, cards and little notes in the letters I sent to to my SR for her to share with others in her division who aren't getting much mail.
I thought I would send her a bunch of small cards with encouragement for Battlestations, which is coming up. Just don't know exactly what to say?
hope everyone had a wonderful Easter...
and back at it getting those letters ready to go!!
Defoe'sMom, check the info in Letter Writing & Fun Stuff/Questionnaires to send to your Recruit next to .
funny Maureen-to think an envelope could cause such a fuss...yes hope you can keep that news about her friend quiet-but be prepared with all the info just in case someone does tell her...
Holding back on the doodles and artwork on the envelope was hard for me and I am sure she is worried about it.
She has worked at the Girl Scout camp during the summer in past few years and I always sent the most outrageous, bright envelopes.
But I was good-plain white, under an ounce, though I DID doodle on the inside of the envelope on the back flap, however it is not noticeable on the outside.
Today I started a "20 Things you don't know about me" letter. Just trying to come up with fun, silly things.
She was in the Color Guard at her high school and one of the guys who was on guard with her died while hiking last week. I have been trying to get the word out to all her friends NOT to tell her in a letter. We kind of discussed it and I know she does not want any bad news.
SummerRainbow if you check the link http://navyformoms.com/group/bootcampmoms/page/letter-writing-fun-s... you may find a few things...
Does anyone know of humorous and/or military related cards you can print yourself? or a store that may carry military subject cards? Not just for boot camp but also for care packages? I have not had luck finding any good ones. Please include links if you have some. Thanks!
