HuntersMom...I am so happy for you. I read his letter & it brought me to tears. My daughter leaves next Wed., for RTC. I miss her already. You're son sounds like he has a very loving family. Congrats on your letter!!
HuntersMom thank you so much for sharing!!! I am crying too...can you PM his address to me?? I would love to send him a letter...

think you got the answer to this already...but yes can send a large envelope so she can mail them back to you...provided it is ok with the RDC...each division has different rules at different times....
Good Morning, Has anyone sent an envelope to your SR to send some of their letters back home? Just came from Post Office and the postmaster said if it's over 13 ounces it has to be brought in, or it's red flagged. Any help would be great, wouldn't want her to have to throw away any, especially if given her moral support reading them.
any time HuntersMom.......ask again if you need anything...
thats great HuntersMom you got your letter!! I know it seems like you have nothing else to tell but you will get inspiration from everyday things...do you have the info of each week and what is happening at RTC?? you can write about the training they are doing or a highlight of the week-and give encouragement in the little things...I remember writing about the week they get their uniforms and how great it must feel to know that very soon you will be wearing it marching into PIR...and also about the new way of life-getting up at oh-my-gosh-its-way-to-early to march around....fun ways to show you are aware of what they are doing...making beds, ironing...and if you read up on the recruit jobs you could encourage by telling him that you could see him being good at them...
sports scores are always nice for them-if you know a certain sport or team include those highlights...I used to go to espn website and copy and paste scores and stats...and you can copy and paste cartoons as letterhead....
do you have any pets at home?? I wrote one from the dog about the day the box came...
and even though we are not a religious family I did find a few psalms that felt fitting....
hope that helps HuntersMom...and keep telling him how proud of him you are and that you will see him soon!!
