I got my phone call today with my form letter showing graduation date 4/18, I am so happy. Will I run out of things to write about? I have wrote 3 letters and I don't know what else to write about. Any helpful hints on things I can write about to give him encouragement?
right BeachBunny! thought it would be nice as this groups pic....so appropriate...
jjsmom so probably just finishing the P days and getting real uniforms soon...no more Smurf Suit!! (that is the Navy Sweatshirt and sweatpants they get at first)...as soon as you get your form letter you will be able to join your PIR group that will have 90 or so other mommas and wives with loved ones at RTC...hope those links helped a little...you can start writing letters but you have to wait until you get the form letter to send them-you want to make sure you have the address correct and the mail recruit gets trained...keep your letters positive and encouraging...congrats and welcome!!
He arrived 2/18

try these links for more info...when did your SR get to RTC??
Where would I find the training schedule? I new at this and I have a hard time finding things that I read about.
can we use this as a pic for our group???
very nice MommaDukes-yup they get homesick but dont really want to let mommas know...glad you found some quotes to add...some add bible verses as well...
and if you are following along in the training schedule you can give encouragement on what they are doing-mine thought it was odd that I knew about the 'gas chamber' and Captains Cup...but he did tell me it was cool because I knew what he was going through....
keep up the good work MommaDukes!!
Started something new with todays letters, printed a few motivational quotes to go with his letters. He mentioned in a letter I got that he likes rereading what I have written. Think this was his way of saying he was homesick. So I think the postive thoughts will help.
