For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

yup mine did too...and yup I have a few on my computer too...
Mine threw his letters away..read them, shared the jokes and tossed them..told him that's ok, I saved them on the computer..he laughed and said, I bet you did...:)
ok ladies, ive mailed about a milliom letters so far, then i saw the facebook post about the tiny little drawer they put there mail in..now im worried it wont all fit and he will get in trouble.....

New Navy Mom Here, Son Leaving This Wednesday To Great Lakes, I am having a Really Hard Time With Him Leaving. He is my youngest 19yo. I know its the best thing for him, but still hard. When will he be able to call or write during or after bootcamp? What I understand he's going 6 weeks into bootcamp & then 6 weeks into schooling & then he gets to come home for 10 days, was wondering how soon he would be able to contact me to let me know how everything was going with him?
