I have heard some moms say their SR wants more mail. I had an idea that I tried this morning, and I was pretty pleased with the results. I took a box of blank inside cards and I addressed them with my SR address and placed a stamp on them. I had my pastor make an announcement that whoever wanted to, could pick up a card and fill it out and mail it to my son. Let me tell you the cards went quick. This could work for whatever group or organisation that your SR was involved in. I think by me making it so easy for them to write my SR, everyone wanted to do it. I hope this helps and I would love to hear your ideas on getting more mail out to our SR.
Happy Sunday Morning Moms!
I was starting my letter today and was checking out FB for some "funnies" when I cam across National Bacon day. So I decided to turn my letter-newsletter into a National Bacon Day newsletter. My SR loves bacon so I put pics and facts of bacon all over it. Turned out pretty fun.
oh thats not a dumb question either Alyce...yup they have pens and notebooks for school...
very nice FlowerPower...so you know that most likely that boy will be buying a pretty new car....
My son is a Ford Mustang fan. I just saw an article on the 2015 model coming out. So I copied the text and pics and put them into Publisher. Made for a cool news sheet.
thats great Alyce-more to send is good!! you can send up to 3 regular size printer pages per stamp-the deal with newsprint and comics and puzzles from the news paper is that the black rubs off so that is one reason we try and print them on paper-but dont worry if its not on one page...
FlowerPower what a great idea! I started a book of sorts on publisher-using excerpts from phone calls and texts and letters and adding pics and cartoons...and yup even now I try and write down our phone conversations-just to keep it all straight...
good job Luce! bet that will be a fun letter to get...
I sent my 2nd letter today. i added a pic from newspaper about a ton of geese in our local park, the Jumble from the paper, comics and positive sayings from fortune cookies I had saved. I also send a self addressed stamped envelope.
