Let's chat about our wonderful sons and daughters who have chosen the PACT program.

Hello

It has been a long time since I have posted and I am sorry. I hope everyone has been able to connect with others in the PACT program. My son is now 3 and a half years in and it has been a great experience. He thought he wanted to be an AM. When he got on the ship, he was put with the AO’s. Now he is an AD3. It was best for him to start PACT because we didn’t know much about the Navy and he wasn’t sure what he wanted to do. This has been a good route for him.

Michael's mom  your sailor will not find out tell the day before graduation when his flight is. My son flew out of Ohare Saturday morning. It can be anytime that weekend or my son said he may stay a few days before leaving. You just have to wait. Good luck

Hi Jyssicarm! My son has his duty stationed in San Diego, has been there since the end of September.  He hasn't received any orders to deploy yet.  He thinks his ship wont deploy until sometime next year. But since you are married he should be able to get housing for you guys at his duty station. He will get more information before he is able to come home.

Thanks!  I was wondering because Im his wife and if we will be able to go to his station duty with him with our child as well? Do they usually find out right away? Or after the 10 days? Also do they usually get deployed first or a duty station?

Comment by kjsdaughter on October 15, 2015 at 5:04pm

She will be stationed in Yokosuka also.

Michael's mom my daughter will also be stationed in Japan.  She is currently in A School.

Mine is in Great Lakes and starts his seamanship training next week.  He received his deployment orders to Norfolk Virginia for November 11th.  His ship is currently on deployment so would he wait in Norfolk for the ship to arrive or do they fly him to his ship?

I have a Question?I saw that after they finish  the Pact school they get deployed. Will they get a station duty. I wanted to know if family  come? If not do we have to stay where we are currently living until he is assigned one?
