I got to visit Destin, FL today and it was so nice. We went to the Henderson Beach which is a State Park so you had to pay $6 to get in and park but it was worth it to not be crowded. I want to go back and check out their huge board walk. Anyone else been there? Have any suggestions?
awesome Must go to the coffee shop!
Went to the best coffee shop EVER! Drowsy Poet Coffee on Brent LN. I had a coconut coffee and pecan coffee cake. YUM YUM YUM! It was so cute inside too. They had a piano playing on automatic and it had a little room you could see the bean roaster. Best coffee I have had in a long time. I will be going there and reading a TON more.
What's going on for 4th of July? My husband says they aren't doing any Blue Angels shows cause of budget cuts and there aren't any fireworks or BBQ's on base(Corry Station). Do you guys know if Pensacola Beach does anything cool? My husband has duty that day so he won't be leaving base.
Thanks for all the suggestions Hurricane :-)
Hi everyone :-) My husband is at Corry Station. I'm also here in Pensacola hanging out for the summer. My husband is half way through his A school for IT and then should be doing his C school there also for another 6 months. So he will probably be here about another 8 months or so depending on how long it takes to class up for C school. Any suggestions for fun stuff to do out here? We have been eating out a lot because there are a lot of good restaurants out here. We went to the Pensacola Beach once it was beautiful but very crowded. We are thinking of checking out the Destin beaches they aren’t supposed to be as crowded. We’ve eaten at McGuire’s Irish Pub, Mellow Mushroom Pizza, Hop Jacks, BagelHeads, & Another Broken Egg (awesome breakfast place). We haven’t done the Museum on NAS yet, but we did check out the movie theater it looked ok. We also tried Dunkin Donuts for the first time and it was pretty good. Didn’t love the coffee but would go back for the donuts J Oh yeah we ate Whataburger & Checkers both not as good of hamburgers as Five Guys though ;-)
I don't know... He's hopefully gonna be a pilot.
