Oh...how nice of him Diana!

That's correct. They are in a different area for "P" days and CAN change Ships until they get to their final one. But not always! I think you're starting to get "the military way" of things!

Go ahead and start writing but wait for the form letter...it's not too far behind. Then just send in a big batch! You can number them so he knows in what order to read them.

It takes about two to three weeks for them to start getting mail. Since the mail is federal...a

FTLW, did I add the ship/division on right?

My son got to BC on 9-1.  I called his recruiter this afternoon. She sent me his address but I have heard that the address the recruiters get is not always the final one they end up in?  Does anyone know?  I am sooo wanting to start mailing letters to my son!  I got my "Kid in a box" today.  My son even put two tootsie roll pops in his backpack for his little brother!

Diana - when did your son leave and when did you call the recruiter? My SR just got there last night so I don't to bug the recruiter to early.

Diana - This Training Group starts with 355 so I think your in the right place!

You may start a Divisional Discussion in the Discussion Forum above if you like. The DIV Discussions are great for you to get to know just the moms in your division...BUT always stay on the main page of this group. This is where the veterans are as we have at least seven PIR groups going at one time. So we are hopping around!

You also want to bond with your whole Training Group!

Here is how to add a discussion (This is for anybody who would like to start the DIV discussion for their Division. We only need ONE for each division though so make sure that you look there first!).

Just click:

+ Add Discussion

A new page will open.

Discussion Title - Ship 07/Div 357

Post - Just type whatever you like as an invitation for other moms/Wives/GF etc. to join the discussion (you can look at other PIR group Ship/Div Discussions for ideas)

When you are done click Add Discussion on the bottom right of the page.

momoftwosons - have you found out what ship and division your son is in?  I just got the info from my son's recruiter.  He is in ship 7 - division 357.  His recruiter didn't have his graduation date but based on divisions for 10/21/2011 I think he will be 10/28/11.

momoftwosons - Here are some Countdown clocks and weather widgets you can look at to choose from. I can also help you with these!

You can add them in the Text Box area where it now says "Welcome to PIR 10/28/2011" just underneath your Group picture that you chose.

If you need help let me know and I will walk you through it, no problem. It's easy once you get the hang of it. Before you know it you'll be addicted to linking, adding photos and embedding media...uh, I think I am. Is there a rehab for that?!

OR

If you would like me to do it I will be more than happy too. Browse through them and let me know what you like!
