For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

navymomtera: When they have to make the I'm a Sailor call the day before PIR, then they can come in earlier than 2 pm GL time. They know that families are in route to GL so they get them on the phones earlier many times.
spontino: Hoping that you know your son is a sailor (since someone said all passed) and can look forward to tomorrow!

Invisible...maybe he has watch? My SR said that he had been up for 36 hours and has it again tonight. They all passed. I'm sure you saw that already, though.
Way to go all of our new sailors! So proud of them all.

Here in Great Lakes. Got a call from my son in 359 about 30 minutes ago. HE'S A SAILOR!!!!!!!! Congrats. to all our grads. I'm sure you are all as proud as I am.

I just got a call from my Sailor, Div 359!! I really wasn't expecting to get it until after 2pm because that's when I though they normally call. Can't wait until tomorrow!!!

Hi Moms, I posting on behalf of spontino. She's on her way to GL and she's totally panicking because she hasn't gotten her "I'm a Sailor" call. Any word yet from anyone in Div 360?

MELISSA: Yes, I have heard that some park at the train station and then walk. It is not that far. But most park on base. You have to have proof of insurance, rental agreement, gate pass to park on base. Of course, ID too.
We sat halfway up the bleachers and could see fine. Get there early and you can test out different places in the bleachers! By early, I mean by 7 or a few minutes after! :-)
