For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I can't believe it is almost time for your PIR. My son-in-law's PIR was one year ago this week. Even though he didn't participate in the ceremony (long sad story) none of us can believe it has been a year already. It is amazing how much can change in such a short time.
Have a great time at PIR and please please travel safely. Thanks so much for making me a part of your group and thanks for all the ribbon orders. I know you will all wear them proudly. Here are some helpful tips for PIR. Congrats to all the new Sailors :-)
Helpful Info: If you drive to base don't line up in the far right lane the morning of PIR. That lane ends so stay to the left of it and it will save you lots of wait time.
When you get into the PIR Hall take some practice shots with your digital camera. Change your settings until you get the best pictures possible with the lighting and environment you are in. Your pics will come out much better and you will be glad you did.
If you go to Gurnee Mills Mall keep track of the amount of time you have. That mall is huge and there are no pass through stores or hall ways to work as short cuts. It is Z shaped so if you start at one end you have to go back to where you started the same way you came.

Congratulations to all divisions that just passed. Lighting a candle for mine tonight. Leaving soon...just impatiently waiting for hubby to get home so we can get in the car! I won't hear from my SR until after we are already there tomorrow.
Excited for all these young men and the next chapters in their journey!
