Anybody else's SR undeclared? They call it the PACT program. Means they don't have a specific rating.

cowgirlmom - maybe that means they get to have some time during the day to themselves and go off base if they're allowed.

mrstoddyboy - I can only imagine how important that phone call is, just remember, they don't always have the opportunity to get near a phone.

We're going to PIR. Booked in the Best Western Gurneu Hotel & Suites from 9/13 to 9/17. Don't have any idea how much time we'll actually get with him, but decided if he has to leave on Sat, we will just consider it our vacation and see Chicago ourselves! Right now he is undesignated and scheduled for further training at Great Lakes so (unless they mess up really badly) they should have the days off that weekend. Can't tell you how many moms I've read said all they wanted to do was be with family and sleep. As long as I can watch him sleep, I'll be the happiest mom in the world.....lol. We're coming in from Seattle. How about the rest of you? What parts of the country do we represent? Do your recruits have an A school or are they also undesignated?

Robertsmom - so glad you finally got your letter. It's physically painful not to hear from them.

Hi...My husband and I are going to PIR. I got my first letter today! Yay! My SR stated in his letter that he gets leave the weekend before PIR? I have never heard that before? Have any of you been told that?

Anybody else from this group going to PIR?
Comment by Mike's Mom (S-PACT/Yokosuka,JP) on July 26, 2012 at 2:50pm
I'm gonna stay in this group (as well as the PIR one), 'cause doesn't the fact they are in the same division mean they are bunking together? I have been telling Michael the other kids names so by the time PIR comes around, we can all know each other! I was Army and I will tell you, these relationships from BC and A school will last for life.
