Hello all!  Son still in Pensacola waiting to "class up".  Busy doing all kinds of cleaning and "stuff" as he calls it.  He is enjoying his downtime hanging with friends.

Hope all is well with everyone.  Have a great week.

Hi everyone!  I heard from my son today in Goose Creek.  He had to go outside to talk, His cell phone signal is not very good in their BEQ.  He is loving it in South Carolina, nice to thaw out.  His assignment today was weeding and really enjoyed being outside in the good weather with his buds.  It is so funny, that he is so happy that they can talk while they work.  They aren't allowed to listen to their ipod's.

He mentioned that tomorrow they will be meeting to "class up".  They will learn their class assignment he thinks.  He doesn't want me to mail anything else until he knows his class.  He also sent pictures of their rooms.  Very compact but he likes it a lot.  They are definitely limited in space.  He loves the private showers.

I'm going to have to look into the care packages.  Thanks for the information William.  Hope they get their class # tomorrow.

KDB1 here is the link to the free Scion care package

What does the Care Package include?
The care package includes some leisure items such as CDs and a deck of cards - and some functional items such as a pre-paid internet card with an hour’s worth of internet access; however, please keep in mind that there may be some variation in the mix of items that we place in each of the care packages may not be identical.

I have not spoken to my son in the past week,  he is too busy having fun I guess.

William- Sailor seems to be doing good.  We bought him a laptop and it is being shipped to him.  Husband got a employee discount on one!  My sailor hasn't started classes yet. He had "dog duty" over weekend.

What did the Scion care package contain?  I haven't sent anything from home yet, but I think I will bake a few of his favorite things this weekend and get them off to him.

I am kinda anxious about getting the classes going....you know what they say about an idle mind.....I know they are cleaning and stuff but really wish the classes would get started!

Hope everyone has a great day and rest of the week.  I had off work on Monday for Presidents day so I have a short work week - YEAH ME!

Hello everyone how is your Sailor doing?   Mine bought himself a new  laptop at the NEX for $630 not sure what brand though but he told my wife it was an excellent deal.  I did send him 3 packages: a mail package from home, food from Hickory Farms, and a free "military care package" from Scion car company.  They all arrived safely at his A school.

They are still offering the free Scion care packages.

My son decided that he didn't like his picture and that it was a ripoff so he didn't order the pictures.  I sent him the money, but he didn't want to waste it.  I sure wish he had gotten them.  I guess I will have to make an appt. for portraits when I go visit.  He said that he ordered the keel and dvd, haven't seen them yet.  I'm glad you got your pics.
