I got a surprise call from my SR last night. Super short. It was some kind of award for a "last man standing" question and answer round robin. So good to hear her voice.  Getting super excited about PIR. Hope everyone is well and that all our SRs finish strong.

It was intense searching for her because I was like please God let me see her. Just knowing she was in the Honor Guard made me happy because she was used to doing that in her NJROTC program here. She said it was the most fun she has had since she's been there. I am sure because it reminds her of home; football games, pep rallies, graduations and such. I can't believe it's only two weeks away. Our youngest is leaving for Spain on Tuesday and between him leaving and PIR, I am feeling a bit overwhelmed but my heart says everything will be fine.

Yup Bonne & Corina- I couldn't find my daughter either. I think she might be in the colorguard next to the American flag. I know she is a rifle, but doesn't perform a rifle routine because their were only 2 of them. Hoping to see her next week. If not, the week after FOR SURE! Looking forward to meeting all you wonderful people in person soon. Go 940! Almost there!

Just saw my daughter on the facebook pictures. She is in colorguard and holds the RTC flag. I am so happy, she looks so beautiful.

I hope we get the chance to take pictures of the entire division together. My daughter is a performer. She says she is only "on stage" for 10 minutes then it's into the back for her. She can't even watch it. She says I can come back and hang with her for most of the ceremony. I'm having very mixed feelings about that. I soooo want to spend time with her, but also want to see the ceremony. Iguess I have 2+ weeks to decide. Well at least we will have the DVD!

Got a letter my daughter said yes they will be performing this week Aug 5. She is doing better, more relaxed and having fun.

Oh Cheryl I didnt even think about it but you are right !  They wont.  Bummer indeed.  I think I did hear somewhere that before the festivities get underway that there is a photo op for 900s divisions.  So in retrospect, that must be why.
