Hello... My son will be joining the JPJ in July. He will be coming from Yakuska Japan..DDG 62.. .The Fitzgerald. When my husband was in the Navy my kids basically grew up in San Diego, so this will be like coming home... he is very excited! I am happy he will be back in the states and to be in the same time zone is even better!! I can't wait!

HI all. My daughter was currently a GM on the Ronald Reagan. In July she will attend school for 5inch guns and will join the JPJ's in October. Am looking forward to finding some information about what they will be doing here in the future and meeting some new moms. If anyone would love to share some information with me, I would be very happy.

Hi I'm Becky, my son is Drew. I've been on the Fb Navy Mom site mostly but I miss this web site as well so checking in & saw the group for my son's ship. How are all you Moms doing tonight? Im very proud of our JPJ sailors. I'm missing my son so much! This deployment is tough for me...his first. The worst is not hearing his voice. Its been a while. He said it was too expensive to get a cell phone where they last were in port. Im so ready for them to get back. I really want to be in San Diego when they arrive in port. How & when will we know the date so we can make travel plans? When is the Tiger Cruise? I would love to do that! Well...Nice to be back on the site & a member of the group. Sending thoughts & prayers to you all & your sailors! God Bless!

Tofu - He should be sending you a packet with the info.  You should be picking up the ship in Hawaii, then riding it back to San Diego.  When you fly into Hawaii, spend a couple day at the Hale Koa hotel.  It is a very nice, and cheap hotel run by the military on Waikiki.
