I hear ya on PIR. Didn't think there would or could be anything else like it. I am sure seeing them coming in from the ocean is a amazing. I wish I could be there too.
msvines, my nephew is going to be an IT. My sister is out there right now in her hotel waiting for tomorrow. I am so excited for her because I know how she is feeling as we all do. He will be going to Pensacola for A school. I will get to see him in the summer hopefully.
I know when we go in July to Hawaii my sailor said he hopes to show us around the Port Royal, man I sure hope so.
I will post a picture of my sailor so whoever is going to be there maybe will be able to find him. He may be one of those ones who ducks out to avoid people too. He is a little shy at times.
Hi ladies I am counting down to my trip. It sure won't be for homecoming please look for my guy and hug him ... he will be one of the ones trying to sneak away quietly without being noticed. Thats him on my profile picture with me. I am sure just older looking. :) If anyone one needs me to look for or hug or ask about anyone while I am there I will sure do it! Just let me know!
Katherine, i sent you a friend request so I can give you my sailors name and maybe you can find him. That would be great if you could get a picture of him for. ALthough he will be home here the next day but it would be great to see him in his dress whites. I have never seen him in them only the blues.
Yes, we are getting very excited, hopefully a snowstorm or something doesn't delay us -- we will arrive two nights before they are scheduled to arrive. I'm still waiting for our son to let us know the location and time of their arrival. (It's a good thing he doesn't get all uptight about minor details like that -- haha -- some things never change!) He wanted our drivers license numbers so suppose he is working on it. :)
Yes, we will take lots of pictures and post them for you to find your sailors. MJ, there will be 4 of us waiting; my husband (tall and bald), myself (short and blonde), our daughter (longish brown hair, age 26ish, thin) and her fiance. Please introduce yourself if you see a family that fits that description. We'd love to meet you! I hope to meet Wanda too--- I have loved seeing the FB pics.
Will have lots of stories for you -- you Moms that can't be there: tell your sons to look for us too and we'll take their pictures in their dress whites.with the ship in the background. Sound like a plan?
Take care, all. Aloha k
Well it did it again, had to recover the page and lost what I wrote, Grrr.
I hope when our sailors are all back we still keep in touch with each other.
I know what you mean msvines, we are getting his car all cleaned up for him and getting a new battery this weekend in it for him. Making sure the tires and everything is good so he can drive it when he comes home.
THere is more excitement for us too, my nephew graduates from bootcamp this Friday. Man the time went fast. I am sure not for him but it seemed for me it did. My sis and brother inlaw and niece are leaving tomorrow to see him. How exciting they all must feel. I remember those days. HMMM. Makes me smile evertime. :)
Well gotta go study. Have a great day.
