Oh my goodness I just wrote all this stuff down and it didnt get put on here. GRRR.
I got an email from my sailor and he sounded so postive. More than he has in the past few I have gotten. On the Obudsmen on facebook the captain posted something. He said they were having a metal beach party. It sounds like the moral is up and they are getting or are excited to be heading back. My sailor said he can't wait to be home. I can't either. He had the time left and big exclamation points on it. They said on facebook too that they are stopping at one more port and then will be home. My sailor said he will call and I gave him my schedule so I don't miss his call. Getting excited here.
Well got anther email today and he said he is sorry he made me worry. Not to worry about anything. He is frustrated and that there was a lot of rumors going on around this ship about orders. He said he is so tired and doesn't sleep well. I could actually tell by the tone of his email that he has had it. He is ready to home and get some sleep. He will talk to me when he gets home. I feel so bad for him. He said they are still on their way home too. YES!!! From next week only a few more weeks til I see him
Carolann -- and my son would say "Go Hawks!" :)
Gald to see everyone chit chatting on here.
OH my you guys are making me worried about them not being home on time. Obudsman said on facebook that they should still be on time, now that was this morning and if she hears anything she would let us know.
Like yours msvines mine will be home shortly after they dock too. Once in a while he talks. HA HA.
carolann, what do you mean by disheartening, do you know something.
Katherine, perhaps you could ask your son if his roommate says "Go Irish" a lot?
Just got an email from my son; kind of disheartening, but they're safe and that's what matters. I'm just so relieved to hear from him.
Thanks for the welcome. It is nice to have the support. Yes my son is new Sailor. He and 2 others from basic were assigned to the ship and sent from Hawaii on Dec. 26. The 3 of them were fast friends in BC and are together still which is good for them. My son went in undesignated to get some exposure in all areas on the ship so he is a bosuns mate right now planning to go corpsman. They are keeping him very busy and learning alot! He did just call this am and says they are still very active. He couldn't say too much but they are under orders right now.
