http://Iranian Speedboats Approach USS Hopper I wanted to share this. Is way cool and scary at the same time. I don't know what these little boats thought they could do but going up against the navy like that may  be suicidal. Not sure what the smaller ship is but those ships are so impressive. I am just glad ours  are on their way home.

MJ, I am so jealous you are going but very happy for you too. You have safe travels.

I would love to be there too, as we all would be. I just know I will see mine soon too. I hear ya on it feels like forever since I hugged mine too. THe last time I saw mine I had to send him to the airport from my school in a cab and I felt awful doing it too. Of course it didn't bother him, or so he said it didn't. I kept texting him to see if he made it. I think he thought I was being crazy but there are a lot of crazy people out there and I needed to know if he made it safely to the airport. That was in May. I am sure if I would have told my professor what was going on he would have let me make up the test that day. He liked me.

Lorraine, great article. It is nice they are getting the recongnition they deserve.

Getting excited and a bit nervous traveling alone...but it's well worth it...don't know when I would have this opportunity again.

Glad some of you got to talk to your sailors...I've emailed with mine and received a few txts

Feels like forever since I've been able to hug my son....

Hello Ladies--- I really enjoy all the chatter about our sailors. I am so glad that some of you are going to greet them as they arrive back home, actually I am quite jealous!!!!! But my sailor will be home in the spring for 12 days and I CANNOT WAIT!!!!!! I am afraid he will have little down time I will be a clinging Mom.
We were so lucky we got to talk to him twice this weekend and Skype too. Wow he has changed---he is not a boy anymore. He has grown into a young man. I as Mom was not ready for him to cross over. But he will always be our baby boy.
We finally got accepted as friend on FB after requesting in Oct. better late than not at all. It has been nice to look back at some of the activities on the ship. I wish we had been sooner:-(.
It is nice to have someone whose been there and done that so when we go later this year we now have some suggestions to follow.
Going for now all take care. I will try to be better about chatting with you. This returning to work is hard work to get routines together.

Bren T, have a wonderful time in Hawaii. When are you going? From what I heard They should be on their way home soon. I don't want to reviel to much on here.  We are going in July to see our sailor. I can't wait too.

Hey did you guys see about that young man who was visiting his grandmother in Iran, is sentenced to death for spying. He was not in the CIA and the US are demanding his release. I say send in the seals and get him out of there. What ashame. I hope they can get him out of there before anything happens.

It is great to see everyone on here.

Hello Ladies!!!

So glad to see you are all still here talking away. Finally got my Facebook friends approval for the PR (thanks for the tip whoever gave it months ago) :) Any way I logged in to see if any of you (those of you who actually hear from your sailors) had heard anything...Grandpa, Uncle and myself are headed to Hawaii ........to spend 6 amazing days there and I was hoping to see news that I would get to see my son. Sounds like odds are good...WHEW!!!! Not that 6 days in paradise wouldn't be nice but he is the reason for the trip after all.

Also any suggestions on what we might want to do while we are there???? We have never been.

Welcome to all who are new since I was last here and it is so great to know you are all here!

I get emails fairly regular but nothing of substance...questions are never answered...but that is normal (even before the Navy).

Hugs to everyone! I will post pictures (won't be anything too amazing since I won't be there for an 'event' but I still will)

Be Safe Ladies!

Well I did hear from my sailor today. They are going to be heading back soon he said. I can't wait until next month too to see him in person.

MJ, yes it is good to see you on here again. I hope everything is getting or is better for you.

Danielle that is terrible his car got towed. i agree there should have been a law they couldn't do it.

I know msvines, I guess I was just missing him and feeling kind of low yesterday. I hope we all hear from them soon.

No I wouldn't be able to go because of school. I have school all week and clinicals and I can't go anywhere or do anything until I am done in May. We are going in July so I guess I can wait until then. I just hope I can see his ship and get pictures.

MJ, give your son a big hug from me and tell him I said THank you for his service.

It is good to see all the activity on here. I guess everyone was very busy over the holidays.
