Hello Families of Port Royal
Our son is no longer on the Port Royal he has been assigned to MA School and graduated and now off to his next duty station. Port Royal was a good experience for him. And to the families who have not had a chance to go to Hawaii to see their Sailors you will really enjoy it when you do. So much to see and do.
I wish you all well and God Bless each and all of of our Sailors and their families.
So long for now

Welcome T-Brax, my son is on the USS Port Royal but is currently on deployment on the USS Chosin but will be returning to the USS Port Royal end of November. The USS Port Royal has been good to my son and he has made a lot of friends and enjoys Hawaii, he still misses home of course because he went straight from High School to the Navy and this is his first time away from home and so far away from home which is Vegas. And yes I am still traumatized by him being gone and its been over 1 year already but he is my only child and how dare he grow up and leave me so soon. LOL  This is a great site full of information and if you have any question believe me you will find it here if not someone here will find the answers for you. Again Welcome to the USS Port Royal Family.

T-brax my son is not on nor in Hawaii anymore, he was on this ship but I am sure some of the moms will keep you informed on here. Good luck to your son and hope you get to visit him in Hawaii. There is a site for Hawaii as well, if you have not found it yet. That site is wonderful. My son is onto Australia after C school again.

Our Son , Ship 12, Div. 332. He is scheduled to go to Honolulu Hawaii on US Port Royal @ the end of Oct. We know he will be so far from his Va. home, but we are so proud of him & he is also proud of himself & his accomplishment's. To see his transformation in 9weeks was awesome! We are excited for his future, being our youngest out of four. It's good to know,no matter our children life choices, they choose positive directions , that they are happy with.
. If you have a family member on the US. Port Royal, please keep us informed.

My son just went through PIR last weekend and is scheduled to join the USS Port Royal in October.  We are nervous to have him so far away but excited that he can start this new phase of his life!
