I am hoping my sailor got his mail then too. So in other words we all will need to send Christmas presents very soon to make sure they get them on time. I don't like this at all.

Yes, Mary, we do miss them even more over the holidays. This is my first Christmas without mine. I have been very lucky to have him home since he graduated from bootcamp.

Lorraine--- thanks for the articles about VBSS. I assumed they assisted stranded vessels but was not sure. Good article, I enjoyed reading it.

Still no reply as to rather we have been accepted or not. I check quite often.
Heard from my sailor on Sunday nite. A very very short conversation. He says he has not received the last 2 boxes yet. They were sent about a month ago and then two weeks later for the last one. I hope his cookies are OK.

We are planning a wedding and wondering if he will be able to come home for it. It is his brother's wedding and he is suppose to be best man. The wedding is planned for Oct 2012. Does anyone know how this works?

Thanks guys for your encouragement. I know we all miss our sailors espicially with the holidays approaching. Take care y'all.

Mary yes I know I miss mine too more than others too. We are here for you though.

Went to see Dolphin Tale yesterday. Oh my goodness, it was  really good movie. I teared up a little at times too. I guess you can go onto seewinter.com and watch the dolphin on there too. I am going to do that with my daughter.

I hope you all are having a good weekend, despite the snow. It is still on the ground here. Wasn't ready for it but hey it is going to be here more soon anyways. I told my hubby, it feels like Christmas. It put me in the mood to shop. I didn't but I could have.

Marcy---not reall sure what our sailor is doing.  He has qualified for fireman on the ship and has preliminary qualified for VBSS.  But his entry was basic seaman.

Really missing him sometimes are worse than others;-(((((

Got a msg from FB asking who our sailor is.  we replied so hope to hear soon that we are accepted.

Are you talking about the FB Obudsmen? If so it took them a long time to accept me too. Don't know if it has anything to do with if you have someone on the ship or not but it did take them a while to accept me too. So be patient and don't worry they will.

thanks everyone. It does get frustrating when I knew what I did was right. He is usually good at giving you the points you deserve though.

Ok sent friends request yesterday---a little impatient. How long does it take to accept you? Do they have verify that I actually have a sailor on board the ship?
