I don't know when I will see him but just to be able to talk to him on skype will please me for now. I hope he comes home for Christmas. I don't think I will ever let him out of the house to see anyone else because it has been since last Christmas since I have seen him. :(

I am so excited. My son who is Iraq is on his way back to Japan. He will be in Qatar for a few days and then he will be heading back to Japan. He had posted it on facebook. So happy news for me.

We have not heard from him in a while though it really seems like FOREVER!!!  Just got his third package ready to send tomorrow.  He is out of calling cards so I will get some before I ship this off with Chocolate Chip Cookies vacum sealed.  They might be fresh but there might me a lot more than originally sent.

The Blind Side was and awesome movie and yes I cried too.  But worth the watch.  Has anyone seen The Help yet it was good too.

Yes every one has some news today. I wish I would at least get an email. I haven't heard anything in a long time. I got him some apple butter today at the farm market. I got some for my son who is in the Airforce too. They both really like it.

I am actually sitting here watching Blind Side. I have never seen it before. It is actually kinda sad. I feel so bad for the guy who is Big Mike in it. I want to watch all of it but have to get up for school in the morning. I will have to watch it another time. Did anyone see it?

Lorraine-- not real sure what our sailor does on the ship.  He is a Seaman on his first deployment.  He has qualified for fireman from what he says, he has been accepted into the training of VBSS (vessel boarding search & seizure)  I kid him and say Vacataion Bibile School Special.  He does not laugh at that, but I think it is funny;-))  We have not heard from him in a while except by email.  We miss him terribly.  He did call his Dad on his bday which was great.  But I have not had the pleasure of his hearing his voice in a week or so.  I will sending some more calling cards tomorrow along with other goodies.

Hi ladies =]  my husband did receive the last 2 boxes I sent him.  One was sent about 4 or 5 weeks ago and the other was maybe 3 or 4 wks.  He has them both.  I just sent out 2 more boxes today.  Some Halloween treats included.  I'm not sure if the cookies have arrived yet, but I hear when they get them they are going to have a big event on the deck and show a video that one of the wives put together from pictures and video clips from one of the get togethers.  We got to to have about 15 or 20 seconds to record a little message to our hubbies.  Its really cute.  I love the omsbudman from the ship, she is very sweet.  I have been working here at a part time job to keep busy, but I just hope that the rest of the time goes by quickly.  Thanks for your warm welcome.  2011 has been a year of changes.

Hi ladies, i am a navy wife (married 5/8/10; he went to first duty station pearl harbor to join the port royal the end of may 2010).  I moved over here end of January this year.  This is our first deployment =[  about half way though so trying to stay positive.  It is so hard though being in a place so far away from home without him.
