I hear ya on the pain of a football or baseball team. Our Pirates suck majorly. I am not a fan of hockey or baseball, just football. I love it. My one son use to play when he was in highschool and I loved going to the games. I love my Steelers no matter what though. I would like to take them all line them up and smack them uplong side the head with a ball bat though. Knock some sense into them. I highly doubt they will make to the Super Bowl this year but that is ok too. I am liking the Bills this year too for some odd reason. They are doing great. I guess i always kinda liked them but never followed them. No offens but I really hope the Patriots lost today. I didn't hear anything.
I hear ya on the pumpkins they do cheer ya up. I love to see everyones beautiful decorations out this time of year. It is so nice to drive down the road and see all the golden colors around. I like snow too but don't want it quite yet. I love it when it is a heavy snow and it lays on the trees.
Well I figured the PR was still out and about and I am getting use to not hearing anything from my sailor too. I was having a bad evening yesterday because my Airforce boy turned 20 today. His name is Sammy. My sailors is Adam. So I was really missing him. My Airforce boy doesn't have any communication other than facebook right now. They have shut down all mailing in Iraq. Well at least at his base he is at. I am hoping they are pulling them out of there soon.
Well have a great night and talk to ya tomorrow.
So how is everyone. Sorry I can' only get on every once in a while. Busy with school and thought I would take a break and see what is going on. I got on briefly yesterday. Plus when hubby is home I don't get on here much.
Haven't heard from my sailor for awhile. I will have to send him another email to check on him. I need to get my package out to him as well. I will do that this week. Gotta get a few more things for in it. I feel like a terrible mom by not sending him something everyday. I know other people may be sending stuff too though.
Well what a gloomy weekend it was here. It has rained all weekend. It is still raining now too. It does make it easier to study but as you can see I am not, LOL. Going to though. I feel guilty about that too because now my daughter is downstairs and I am upstairs doing this and that both. This math is killing me. I have no idea what the heck I am doing. Oh well going to see a tutor either tomorrow or leave early on Tuesday.
Well I hope you all had sunshine where you are. Plus the Steelers lost today and that makes it a gloomy day too. I have no idea where the team was today but it was not in Texas or any where else.
MJ, I would love it if mine would send some stuff home too. Hey tell yours to talk to mine and see if he can help me out with that.
Hi everyone,
I received a package today of items my bought in Dubai. He got an Aladdin Lamp and a jewlery box which is beautiful. He send his girl a necklace he bought out there. Hope everyone is doing great.
I'm good as long as I can email with him. Everyday I come home from work and check my email..hoping to see one from him. lol
this is a military mom's life ...waiting till the next time we communicate. ;)
Bren T. we are always here for everyone. I know what you mean about the communications though. I get mine thru emails. I know we all can't wait to talk to our sailors when they port next. Wonder where they will be next. What an adventure for all of them, especially the new ones who have never been on a ship yet and this is their first. I know my package took about 10 days as well. So that isn't long at all. I have one here to send to mine as well.
Well gotta get to school so will talk later.
Hi there,
I am not sure what my son does as he went in as an apprentice, last I heard he was trying out helmsman. He is just 19 and doesn’t always communicate well. He has been stationed at Pearl Harbor since December 2010. So everything is a first for him. I signed up for this group because I finally realized after a few months that I should be sending him care packages and I wanted to see if you ladies knew how long the packages took to get to a ship in motion. Reading you messages is nice I don’t know what he is up to most of the time. He did get his package in record time…less than 10 days. So I am working on the next package now.
Thanks for being out there, it’s nice to know what’s going on. I will check the Facebook page too.
