Thank you so much. I looked into flights and hotels seems pretty expensive. Wow 10000 is really a lot of money. It might be awhile before I can go for a visit.

Yes if you have any questions just let us know. We went to Hawaii last July and it is very expensive. I know cost us almost 10,000. We were very conservative too. But very beautiful. I want to go back someday. I didn't want to leave. Now hopefully my next big trip will be Australia.

4ever, I am in PA. Near Pittsburgh. How about you guys?

You are welcome McJane, If you have any questions please feel free to send me a message and I will try to answer it for you. My son has been on the ship 1 year now. I don't get on here much but we are all here for you. Believe me I was a mess when I found out my son was going to Hawaii so far away and so expensive to visit but I found comfort when talking to people on this site.

My son is an ET he loves the ship and the other sailors he works with. I'm glad he has fit in so well so quickly. I hope to get to visit Hawaii while he is there. Thank you for the warm welcome.

Hi McJane, welcome. What does your son do in the Navy? Mine a CTR. Any questions just ask I am sure between all of us we can answer them. My sailor actually just found out he will be going to Australia next year. Off to more schooling in August then off to Australia. I am already looking to see how much flights and stuff are. I would like to be able to go but we'll have to see. Very expensive.

Well welcome to the USS Port Royal Family. My son is also stationed in Pearl Harbor on the USS Port Royal. He is currently on deployment until November. He just left Japan. I am sure you will find a lot of info. on  this site. Congrats to your son.

Hi all we don't get on here much anymore. I just found out my sailor will be staying in. He may get to stay in Hawaii or maybe go somewhere else too. Will find out next week hopefully.

Dawn, welcome as you can see we don't talk much on here. Not much is going on with the ship. Are you going to go and see him in Hawaii sometime? I was there last July and it is so beautiful. Didn't get to see sailor due to RIMPAC though, which sucked.

Well hope all is well with all of you.
