Msvines, We are at the Best Western, Coconut. Yes it was bad timing but when we made the plans he was to be here, of course with the Navy, that changed as we all know. No he is going to wait til they decom to get out. If he did it now it would be too soon. How is your sailor?

Sue you will be okay. We are here for support. The facebook thing is Obudsman Port Royal. Like Ms has said there isn't much on there due to inbetween Obudsman.

Hello everyone, Well I am not sure where to start, my son is undesignated right now aka confused aka doesn't know what he wants to be when he grows up. he is so young he has a long time to decide I guess. he went straight from graduating high school to Boot Camp. he did say something about a sponsor ,they sent his sponsor an email  while he was in Boot Camp but he never got a reply so he has no idea who is sponsor is that is my first concern. And if the ship is at sea right now how long do they stay at sea? And if nobody is there to meet him when he lands in Hawaii what does he do? Where does he go? OMG I am packing my bags right now and I am going with him. LOL I wish.

Welcome Sue and congrats to your son on his adventure to Hawaii. Yes we will try and get you the info if at all possible. They are at sea right now. There are few other sites for hawaii as well, you may want to check them out too. One is Ohau and Hawaii. I am on both of them. THose women can give you some isight on everything on there. I can't remember which one is which, but one is families that actually  live here on the Island and one is families who live all over. Both are great for info.

We are actually here in Hawaii as I speak. We got here last Friday and are here until the 22nd. I am loving every minute of it. The only thing is our sleeping schedule is all screwed up. we are still on East coast time. LOL My hubby is snoring right at this moment and it is only 7:55 pm here. HA HA HA. We were up at 5 am today. We had a good flight from Pittsburgh to Chicago, got to Chicago around 10 am on Friday. We were to have 4 hour layover because of the time change. well that 4 hour layover ended up being an 8 hour one. we were all so tired and so ready for the journey to here. We finally got here at 11 pm Hawaii time and 5 am our time and we were tired but we didn't get to the hotel until 1 am by the time we got our luggage, car and found the place. So we didn't get to sleep until 1:30 am and was back up at 6:30 am. The weird thing is we weren't even tired. Hit the ground running and site seeing and MAN I love this place. Went  and swam with dolphins today. The only thing about this trip is, my sailor was to be here and he is not now. I highly doubt we will even get to see him. Just knowing I am here and he isn't bugs me and makes me kinda sad. Oh well that's Navy life.

Well hope all is well with you guys and hope to hear from you guys soon.

Hello everyone I am new to this group my name is Sue and I live in Las Vegas, my son graduated Boot Camp in June he is home now for 2 weeks  and will be headed  to Hawaii after his leave in Vegas. This will be the first time he has been so far away from home with out friends or family. I am kinda scared to let him go. So can someone anyone tell me what goes on in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii aboard the USS Port Royal?

I just talked to my son, he was happy to be home. Now we can start getting excited about our trip in 2weeks. I am so proud of them all.

O GOODY GOODY!!!!  So excited. Can't wait to talk to him. I hope he doesn't call tonight, I am tired. I woke up at 4 am thinking of school and all I needed to do with the house. I have finals coming up and a lot of other things going on.

Hello everyone, how are you guys?

So does anyone know if they are back yet? I haven't heard anything.

Comment by Marcy on April 11, 2012 at 8:40am

Yes Brenda, it is under Port Royal Obudsman. I am on there too. Did you find it yet? What is LPO. I know what it means in Radiology but not Navy, LOL.

Msvines, I did see that post from the captain. It is nice to know they had a great dinner for Easter.

Well spring break is almost over for my little girl. I know I have enjoyed her being off. I was on spring break last week. She goes back to school tomorrow. We have enjoyed sleeping in. Can't wait til school for her is done, so we can do that again. She only has a month and a half of school left too. Hard to believe the school year is almost over.
