Thanks Chris! Well, he's put in for the Growler. But his wife said he won't know if he gets it yet. She thinks he will though! He got into officer's program through Seaman's to Admirals, then got his degree, then onto flight school. He's done all this with a wife and now 6 children...I don't think that's been done in the history of the Navy...but then again...I haven't researched it. I'm very proud of him.

I have a friend who is very active in Soldier's Angels. They adopt entire units to send packages to. She's always looking for stuff and help with packages. They also give out "dog tags". I don't know if those are in packages or hand delivered to returning troops. Some of the guys in the PTSD unit at our local VA hospital have them. It is a respectible organization.

LZ27, Your so right. Every job in the navy does have a purpose to keep it running.

My son was not too happy about my posting "The Navy at it's best" about the flyover in SF. He rmeinded me my dad and son are seabees. So to all the bees out there. Those little F-18's would never get off the ground if the bees did not engineer and build the runways for them to take off. So there my son my son you are part of the best of the Navy! Dang gotta be careful what you say...these bees can be very sensitive. Just don't tell my dad what I said!

I love the I SPEED FOR A LIVING - unfortunately, P3 pilots don't go as fast! Hey, maybe that's a new saying for a T-shirt :)
