I am only disappointed that Ice Man has gone by the wayside.

I do believe that I know the words to the entire move!!! Anytiime I catch it while flipping through channels, I have to stop and watch it from where ever it is in the movie! When we know it's on, we turn up the volume to the max at the opening and just let it roar - on every tv in the house too!! Is everyone aware that there is going to now be a Top Gun 2 - just saw that bit of info last week! I don't care what Tom does in his private life, he's one of my favorites!

My son got to do just that this summer at a wedding - pic attached he's the middle in white between the two Marines. And, speaking about Top Gun, they did "You've Lost that Loving Feeling" at the reception!

I'd be very hesitant to make any reservations until you talk with him - as you know, things can change very quickly and the penalty for changing tickets is costly-that is the life of the Navy.

My son just finished his 1st week at OCS. Looking to book tickets for my son for Christmas stand down. I believe the break is from December 17--a Friday until Jan 3--a Monday. Figured I'd book the reservations for Sat Dec 18th--in case they still have to do stuff on Friday. I believe they may have to be back in Newport by Jan 2 so I will book him a return on Jan 1. Because my son just finished week one of OCS.I .can't communicate with him yet. But want to get the reservations in place since it is Christmas and it gets harder to get reservations the closer you get to December. Does anyone know how I can find out the exact dates of the break?

I am off to meet my new grandson.
Will catch up with all of you when I get back from playing grandma.

PS: my 6 year old granddaughter sent me her first email last night. It was such a thrill to get it!
