Looking for moms with sons/daughters who went thru OCS in Pensacola. Can you please look at their graduation photo and let me know the name of the company selling videos and portraits. My son graduated in Mar '07. I finally found the flyer and put it in a very safe place - unfortunately, I can't remember where that can be. My son just got his gold fish. Thanks to all.

My son was with 28 for flight school in 2001, it just is so sad.

The Spam thing was your basic "photos with sale" items that were polictical in nature. NOT ALLOWED by Navy for Moms! It has been taken care of. So no one really "missed" anything except the disappointment of having the rules broken.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful day!

I'm with Kathy on this one. Combine a vacation with a nice drive to Norfolk and fly back! It's a nice, easy 3 day trip. Several air lines offer one-way flights back from Norfolk and New Port News at a good rate. We have driven out there several times from Minnesota and we have flown too. Never had to spend much on the flights and we discovered that driving or flying is about the same price, minus the food. We took our own food when we drove and had picnic lunches, hunted for covered bridges and did some sight-seeing. Of course, if we would have driven "directly" there, we might have saved some time, but we would have missed getting lost a few times! We still talk about getting lost in a tiny, little town that was only about 8 square blocks but not a road sign anywhere to be found! We had so much fun with having "new adventures" and discovering what neat places the U.S. has to offer.
Besides, you will make your son so happy, not only to have his mom come to visit, but bring his car, too!! If you really wanted to, you could make that little trip in 2 and a half days, if you really wanted to. Go for it and have fun. There isn't anything better than getting that great, big hug from you son! You'll smile all the way home.

A mom from CA had her son's car shipped from CA to East Coast. Thought the shipper was excellent. I have to go back a bit to find the post; but can't do right away because I am having 26 people over my house for a Meet and Greet (husband thinks it's a Meet and Eat) lunch tomorrow for the Northern California Navy Moms group. Gotta go cook. Maybe tomorrow night, I'll have time.

Congratulations to Winston. Thank you Leslie for taking over. DJ, thank you for starting the group. What are you going to do with all that extra time? Oorah!

I guess some people don't read the guidelines for this website. Thank you TrekkieDad for reminding Stacy about our rules.
I also belong the the Blue Star Mothers and they sometimes have this same problem. I personnal think that if someone puts it on the website ONCE and it gets posted, it is all that is needed for them to get the message out to a bunch of people. After that, I doubt if they care. They move on and their "advertizement" is already posted. Too bad a few spoil it for the rest of us.
