Good to know about!  "The new Virginia Military Medics and Corpsmen Program (MMAC), which will be launched on July 1, will help open the door to jobs in the New Virginia Economy to former military medics and corpsmen. Medics and corpsmen receive extensive medical training and experience while on active duty, but some have not yet had the opportunity to receive the civilian licenses or certifications needed to practice outside of the military medical system. MMAC is designed to help create opportunities for these former military medics and corpsmen to apply their skills and training in civilian medical facilities." PDF:  Virginia MMAC Program

Anyone with a corpsman OUT of the service who wants to become a paramedic? My son is attending a school (8 months) where did you get credit for all of the time in the service in lieu of the EMT hours, and it’s covered by the GI bill. It starts in January in Michigan and there’s room for 4-9 more students. Let me know and I’ll put you in touch with them. deedeekornman@yahoo.com
