OMGosh I am in mommy heaven with Melissa.. We are doing a lot of shopping and of course taking Hazel Marie out with us too... This is our second Christmas together : )
OK I admit we ate the lobsters. 5.00/pound these days. So happy to hear of all the cubs home. We can all take turns over the next few years. Mine is loving being back at CP and sunny California but calls almost every day to see how my recovery goes. Maybe next year he will be home for the holidays but until then I will live vicariously through you all! Ho Ho Ho!
hi all. i am sorry to hear about everyone that will not be able to be with their loved ones this time of year! i know how hard it is to be away from them, espeically during this time! i am glad for all of you that do get to be with them though! i know you will all make the most of the time you have to spend with them! wishing everyone safe tavels as well!! my bf is home, however he will be working all Christmas weekend but he will get New Years to spend at home. I am very thankful for that. This will be the first year that it will literally be just me and our kitty at home watching movies for chirstmas! should be relaxing though so that will be nice! I also wanted to wish everyone on this wonderful board of corpsmen moms and dads a very Merry Christmas. I had the opportunity as a Kiwaniian to play for the Salvation Army outside of our local KMart on my accordion accompanied with my high school Key Club members and my husband. I am tired tonight, but I feel that I hopefully I am making a difference in someone's life in that we collected a lot of money for needy familiesl God bless all of you!! Happy Christmas to all!

As you all predicted, my daughter did just fine with her Corpsman final exam, and we enjoyed her graduation in SanAntonio on 12/16. She is all moved out, and after 10 days at home, she is again packing. Tomorrow she heads for Pensacola, and is looking forward to working at the hospital. Thanks for the well wishes and tips.

Carol, I know it's rough going back to work, nice to have the job waiting though. They saved all my work for me too, isn't that sweet?! hehehehe I do have new pictures, my daughter just sent me some yesterday. My ex came to see her, how nice of my daughter to include a picture of him holding our granddaughter,couldn't even see the baby well in the picture! Glad he came for her sake, but at my childhood home, really, couldn't he just stay put in Montana?! She's still very young and it made my daughter happy so I'll give him this one! Sharing is not very easy. I would post a picture, but I have to be honest I have no idea how to do it anymore!!!! Gramma Bugsy is not very good with this computer stuff. I'll keep trying though.

I know what you mean about waiting for them to pull up, weird feeling I know! Glad to hear the love bugs are having fun though. I absolutely love kitchen gadgets, like bamboo utensils, kitchen towels and pot holders, so my big ole birthday plans are to go and get a couple of things I've been needing for quite a while. We get paid once a month, and thank God today was the day! Doesn't that just sound like a thrill!? Hubby has to work til 4 tomorrow, so I'm flying solo til then. Oh I have to brag a bit....my hubby works for a little cafe here in our little town and it was just named as the #1 place to dine for breakfast and lunch! He's their lunch chef and also does breakfast a couple of times a week, so I'm pretty darn proud of him. Anyway, you all have a wonderful New Year!

Time to move on to a new year and celebrate what is HERE - the best friends anyone could ever have.

Hi Annabear!!!!! It's sunny here in CA too and a temp of 70 expected today. The birds and plants don't know what to do with it being so warm! I have a lovely view outside my work window, someones front yard and the highway, strange combination, but hey atleast I can see outside!
Heading to sunny CA early April to see my Corpsman. Have a beach cottage in Carlsbad for a week. Small and simple...just like home. Not sure how much I will get to see him but as we know it really is not up to me. I'll grab what I can and lounge on the beach when I can't. Do one of you lovely ladies (and Sir Vette of course) live nearby. I hear you boast of lovely temperatures in the winter (as do I in the summer;))
Love love Carlsbad, go there every summer, lucky you! Great beach. Restaurants...Mikko is for fun for sushi (it's a converted diner, the 50% off deal is great), and Caldo Promodoro on State St for Italian (more $ but worth it). There's a train to downtown San Diego too, never done it but someday. April will probably be in the 60's, nice. Today got up to 83 here, that's tanning weather!
At the furniture store buying a new mattress. These new fang-gangle foam type mattress. Welcome to the 21st century. LOL!!! Oh well...

There's a train to downtown San Diego too, never done it but someday. April will probably be in the 60's, nice. Today got up to 83 here, that's tanning weather!
