Moms to the point that money is no object, she is our only girl. But I think the range is $200-$400. We had to buy the one from the fashion show because they said it came back with a pull. Carly was livid that she didn't do it, that a mom putting them away did. So Marcy if you like like I'll sell it to you cheap! Do you still wear a size 2?
Hello, everyone! I have been lurking and reading and thought I would finally add some things! I love to read what everyone writes. It makes me feel like I am part of your families. Thank you!!!
Love to you all, and God bless you always. I pray all the time for our corpsmen and corpswomen, as well, as their families, every day.
Hey John, that's the skirt I liked! And yes that top is a big improvement over the sequin bustier. Don't think my mom would have gone for the cut outs though lol...times have changed...
Oh geez I also just saw the thigh-high split. Lots o' luck dad! Oh by the way, feel free to send it along after prom - I mean, since she only wears things once and all ...
Depends on which company and how you have your bill-paying set up. Might not be as bad a chore as you think - I hope. It must be in the air - N4M seems to be kicking out email notifications on posts from earlier this week - that's why Marsha thought I'd just said something about weather today, when I'd said it on Tuesday!
I asking for prayers for my cub. He was hospitalized late Thursday night for acute renal failure. The Navy transported him to another hospital that has a specialty unit of urology/nephrology. His kidneys are being completely flushed for 72 hours. We do not know the cause yet. Thank you for your prayers.
Kidneys are amazing how they keep the body in balance. Could be caused by dehydration. Navy will take great care of him - sending good thoughts to you & to him.
Thank you wonderful ladies, Marcy, Betty, Mike's mom, Carol, and Lorelai, for good thoughts and prayers for my cub. He is not stable, but they are flushing out the kidneys. They plan on doing a biopsy since his creatinine level is coming down slower than they would like to see. He is in Baptist Medical Center South in Jacksonville, FLA. He was transferred from the hospital where he works, Jacksonville Naval Hospital to Baptist Medical since JAX Naval does have all of the special nephrology specialst that Baptist has. As soon as we see what the biopsy says, that will tell us a lot. Thank you for the birthday wishes. Your prayers and concerns are the best birthday presents that I could received, and I thank you so much for them. You are all the best in my book!
I love the birthday cake, Marcy. The best thing about the birthday cake you served up to me is that it has no calories! Yahoo!!!
Carol- Yes, we are taking to my cub several times a day. He has his cell with him. He seems to be doing better today, but I the doctor will do a biopsy on his kidney to try to figure out the cause of this weird acute renal failure. His kidneys appear to be working again, but they are flushing them out for 72 hours. My cub is a trooper, and I know that he will fight hard to get well again and back in the hospital doing his job as a corpsman. That is the kind of cub he is!
My cub is doing so much better that he may be released from the Baptist Medical Center South tomorrow. From there, I am not sure if he will go to the JAX Naval Hospital or bedrest in his room. But I am so happy that he is doing so much better! Thank you for all of your prayers! <3
BettyB- The Cub is strong and healthy. They have not told him how to avoid. They think he had a viral or bacterial infection that went to the kidneys. Maybe there will tell him more upon discharge. He has always been a pretty healthy and quick healing young boy and now a young man. I am sure he will have to rest for a while and stay hydrated. I wish he would come back to the West Coast. He is not used to that humidity on the East Coast.
Holy cow - President makes surprise trip to AfghanistanObama will speak at 7:30 p.m. ET from Afghanistan on the first anniversary of the raid that killed Osama bin Laden in Pakistan.
Good morning ! I am waiting to hear from my son saying I have just left CL and mom I'm never going back : ) He will be coming home to pick up his beautiful wife plus furniture and off to Washington State ... oh happy day
Kym my heart is with you .. I do understand what you are going through and it is not easy .. Just ask any of the ( and what I will be saying next does not mean anyone's age ) old timers here I never slept... Roller coaster ride plus !
Just found out the other day my son is going on his first deployment at the end of July. I think the hardest part is going to be not being able to talk to him, like we can now. He has been stateside since entering, so we have been able to talk via cell phone and have actually been able to visit him, so this seems like it will be like an extended version of boot all over again. Not really sure what to think or how to feel. Think I am glad that I can get some support from everyone here. Thanks for listening.
Well Friends and Sisters.....he is off. He called Wed. and we said our good byes. I was good till the very end, I tried, I really did. He sounded great, strong, ready, confident!!!! Had a good long cry and was weepy yesterday. But did pretty good. We have 7 kids, cub is 20 and our oldest, all the way down to our 6 year old princess. Our # 6, Danny, is cub junior. He is so much like his big Bubba it is scarey. He is very tender hearted, loving, sweet. He has cried himself to sleep countless nights missing his big Bubba. Breaks my heart. He is hanging in there. We make paper chains to count down to special events. He asked if we could start one and ADD to it everyday cub is gone and see how big it gets. Then burn it when cub gets home. Goofy kid:). We will make it. We are a very close family. Lots of prayer and alot going on to keep us busy. Oldest daughter going to prom tomorrow so keeping busy with that.
Thanks for hugs, prayers and listening....you are all awesome.
Thank you! My Cub is back at base in his room recuperating. I hope that whatever he had never comes back again. Last week at this time, I was pretty much in shock after getting the phone call that he had acute renal failure. Thank you everyone for your prayers and concern. I appreciate all of you!
I need a cup of coffee, Betty! First, it is time to gorge on strawberries!!!'
