Camp Pendleton Corpsmen Moms

Briefly texted with son last night.  Said had hike today so would not be available. 

i haven't herd from him today. and it is getting to be passed the time i get that one text from him.

2proud- i guess you say they have a hike today? my bf said he thought it may be this week but he said he thought it would be an easy day today so a hike later in the week... hmmmm

linda-was saying about them having meetings today. so i would think that would mean no hike today. or maybe a short one i guess...

i dont know. and i guess it doesn't really matter. i just like to know what they are doing. i am a curious person!! and since i drive past the area everyday i like to look over and see if i can see them. i know it is to far a way for me to tell if it is actually his group or anything, but it is nice to feel closer in that way... i don't know it makes sence in my mind...lol

anyways since i herd from some of you that test 2 is tomorrow just wanted to say GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF OUR CORPSMAN ON TEST 2!!!!

jesspoo, There is nothing wrong with that sweet loving heart of yours and your curious mind; I think if any of us who were in your shoes would be doing and thinking right along the same lines as you!! 

Good luck on test 2 tomorrow I will be keeping my fingers crossed and toes for them. lol

Hey ladies :) I've been MIA getting busy with registering for school and what not. I would like to know more about these hikes our guys will have to be going on...anybody know more info on them?

Talked to my BF for a little today, they had a 30-40 min break then it was back to night study and muster...said he would be done at 10 (their time). Excited about test 2 being tomorrow so they dont have to worry about mustering anymore!

Hope everyone is having a good week! I'll be staying warm at home tomorrow with this cold front we are getting!

jesspo I know the feeling, we were in GL before the graduation and all I could think of was that on the other side of that fence my boy was in there. One of the other moms said she would drive by and want to jump the fence to know how he was doing so I would say you make perfect sense to me.

I haven't heard from mine for a few days will have to text him tonight to see how test went, he doen't volunteer the info.  Hope all did well on this one so less of the mustering. Will try to find out about the hikes also.

I am so glad other people want to "peek" through the fence!  LOL - my husband thought I was crazy when I wanted to literally stand outside of the fence the night before bootcamp PIR...  He said I'd probably get arrested and then totally miss graduation!  Ha!

Jacqueline- Great job to your Sailor! i am so happy for you!!

Ruth-glad things are working out! that sounds like a wonderful program!!

got to talk to my bf today! said he PASSED his test today!!! woooo whoooo!! though he said he didn't know what he got. just that he passed. not sure if others know what they got or not. though that means that he will be able to come and see me this weekend for certain!!!! SUPER EXTCITED!!!!! and no more night muster!!! which also means that i get to talk to him more during the evenings when he is there!!!!!!! SUPER HAPPY RIGHT NOW!!!!!  it was wonderful getting to talk to him for more then just one text every other day!!! he said that friday i thinks they will be out in the field. so i can't wait to hear about that!! and you can bet your bottoms that i will be staring through those fences that day trying to get a glimpse!!!!!!!!!!! he did say he has been kinda sick lately but that he was feeling better today. hopefully he keeps feeling better as well as everyone else there!

not sure when i will be able to get on. changes in my net connetion. i will be checking in when i can though. i really love this site and this group!!

hope everyones Sailor passed the test today. if not...they'll get the next one! not the end of the world!! keep those heads held high! it is a tough thing they are doing!!

Oh, Carol...  I know it's said not to borrow trouble, but I will definately keep you and your son in my prayers.

I'm sure after three weeks the FMTB'ers have gotten into the groove now and know what's expected.  Almost half way done!

My son sent me an e-mail and after being in schooling since last June, he was finally able to "be" a Corpsman today!  He loves Italy and loves what he does, so who am I to complain about missing him!!

LOL yep! My bf slept about 13 hours straight yesterday! Glad they're able to get rest though and Jess so happy for you that you get to see your bf this weekend!

Linda thats good that you got your flight already and it looks like you guys decided to drive back huh! I wish I could go see my bf graduate but I'll be in school :(

So exciting to read all of ya'll plans for the gaduation! California weather should be beautiful in March for a visit!

I wish I could go but my bf will be flying home that day (if nothing changes) so theres no need really for me to go, although I know the graduation would be something to see. Maybe I can get a picture from one of you ladies of my bf :) He is a Reservist so he doesn't have any orders to go anywhere else right now, I guess I got pretty lucky with that.

Hope their field days go well for our guys...can't wait to hear about them.

Wow thank you for posting that video! It gave me chills and everything to see everything they go through. And you're right Carol it is easier to forgive them for those days you don't hear from them or when they are dead tired!

Hopefully by tomorrow we will hear from them!

Jess hopefully you will hear from him tonight. I heard from my bf monday early morning by text before heading out and he said they would be back wed. afternoon. I'm expecting to hear from him at the regular time that I always do this evening. I was trying not to think about the possibility of it raining while they were out but our corpsman are troopers I'm sure they enjoyed it even more! Could have been refreshing to them.

Talked to my son last nite, was glad to have watched the video before as could picture what he was doing. Of course it would rain, have had nice weather last couple of weeks and now here comes the rain. Poor kid was so tired and was doing laundry, can't imagine how much mud must have come off of them. He stil has a cough, temp and sore throat. Hopefully will be able to get some rest this weekend. Hope all did well on this last test and on the one to come.

Jesspoo hope you hear from your bf, I know they are exhausted.

got to hear from my bf last night. just as they got back from the field he had to go and stand watch!! i felt sooo bad for him! i know he was prob exahusted!!!! stood a 4 hr watch. said that he passed test 3. not as good as the other 2 tests but well over passing so it is good! said he tried and wanted to study for test 4 but in the field there wasn't much time. said that they did the gas chamber while they were out. last weekend he told me that he thought that this round wouldn't be as bad as back in boot camp. not sure it that is true or not yet. said they did some obstacle courses and the 4 mile hump (hike) and more weapons taining. he said he likes the field expect when it rains. said that the gear is more weather RESITSTANT than weather PROOF.

I am glad he seems to like it, i just hope he gets some time tonight to study for test 4 and get some sleep!!! gotta keep those grades up to come off base for the long weekend!! i was really glad i got to hear from him!!! anyways, hope all of you heard from your Sailors!!

haven't talked to my bf about his laundry. i will have to ask him about it. that is a really smart idea to wash in the car wash! and around the cornor!! i can only imagine what the washers were looking like after all of that! 

just think, in a couple of hours our Sailors will be half way through FMTB!!!! yay!!!! downward slope from now on!!

hope everyone hears wonderful news about test 4! i hope my bf does well so he can come off base with me for the long weekend!!

Linda I will ask my bf if he knows anybody from Alabama...they probably do know each other!

He did pass his test today but he said about 11 people out of 40 didn't pass though. Hope they get to retake those tests. My bf says he is feeling pretty sick and he went out to buy some medicine but he will be staying in tonight. Hopefully this long weekend will give our corpsman some MUCH needed rest!

I sent him a small package last thursday the 10th but he still hasn't gotten it! When I sent him his checkbook in the same type of packaging he got that on that 4th day. Hopefully it was not lost and he'll get it soon. I wonder if they don't let our corpsman receive packages?

Jess- Hope you get to spend time with your bf this weekend! Aren't you lucky!

Well hopefully he will get what i sent him soon. It was handmade and something I wish we could have for a long time so I hope it wasn't lost! His platoon isn't a problem and he says several guys are receiving mail and packages from their loved ones.

Linda- that may be why my bf was talking so much about tattoos last night lol did your son get one?

My bf just told me their last test is March 7th so that is good. All they'll have to worry about now is the actual training and physical part of it.
