Navajosunshine39, good to see your name again after these many weeks. Glad to hear your son is doing so well.  My son is in MS and seems to be happy and doing what he needs to do. And it is good to be able to have constant contact with them. Take care and God Bless!

My daughter just came back from japan (3 week student trip). We used Skype which is a program you can download onto your computer and phones.  Another program is Viber.  Both are free and it is free to voice call and video call over the internet.  If she has access to FB then Skype will work the same.  We called each other early in the morning or late at night as it is 13 hours difference.  She was in Tokyo, Kyoto, Nagoya and Osaka.

Hi Navymom4! My sailor actually left just this morning for his first duty station in Lemoore Calif. He was home on leave for 2 weeks and we hardly saw him! Used to that anyway as he will be 29 tomorrow and has been independent for some time. It was great seeing him and spending real quality time with him. He's a bit apprehensive about going to Lemoore as he has heard only negative things about it. He got to choose his assignment and is kicking himself for not choosing Japan. He is, however, accepting his decision with a mature attitude and will make the best of it. A GREAT THING TO SEE AND HEAR! Thanks for staying in touch.
