    Friends,

I just put up my "PERTINENT PIR TIPS" up in the Discussion Forum.  Please check it out for any tips you can use for your own PIR~~

  • diannep

    Good Morning All !

This PIR group should be in Training Week 4 (Hell Week) for most divisions.  This is a turnaround week where they start looking so forward to graduation, which is soon!  There are only 6 actual training weeks before they become sailors, so they are close!  BattleStations for this PIR group will probably start in about 2 weeks, continuing during PIR week.

  • NevadaMom Ship 11 Div 194

Morning. PIR 6/6 begins 5-1 today. Two more Fridays!
  • diannep

Please start asking your SRs for BattleStations dates for their division.  We can't post them here or on FB, but we can private message them, so just post here that you have one and let the ladies friend request/message you for it.  I would like to know it also since I keep schedules of each PIR's BattleStations dates (have been doing that since 2010!).  But I get my info from YOU!  I will post a schedule after they complete them in the BattleStations discussion, just for "reference."

  • NevadaMom Ship 11 Div 194

in my SR's letter I received Wednesday she said as soon as she knew she would write me. Gas chamber next Wednesday

  • CatMom509

    Happy Friday!!

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace

as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow

with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."

  • mrsrds2012

Just got a 20 minute phone call with my SR :] Definitely unexpected. Thank you to Division 191 for doing so well on their most recent test to allow Division 192 to call home as well!!

  • NevadaMom Ship 11 Div 194

Yahoo for Div 191! 194 is supposed to be calling Saturday
  • diannep

    Congrats on the calls!

Good Morning and hope all have a good weekend!  Maybe more calls for others will happen today????

  • CatMom509

    Hi Friends!

"Blessed is the man who makes

          the Lord his trust..."

                                       Psalm40:4a

  • NevadaMom Ship 11 Div 194

Well if we can't have a phone call today, then IT'S ON. We will combat it with sending letters. Come on PIR 6/6 team. Start writing and get them through the home stretch. Heading to the post office now! Hoorah.

  • ChristineLI,NY

Kind of bummed over no phone call.  Wrote letters, bought cards, going out to buy my blue candle/light bulb.  GO 194!! BE THE BEST!

  • NevadaMom Ship 11 Div 194

Christine, no one so far in PIR 6/6 all Divisions has gotten a call :(

  • mrsrds2012

Zest: my husband was really sick too, and apparently pink eye is going around for divisions 191 and 192. So hopefully our SR's don't get it :)

  • PatientlyWaitingWifey

My husbands div had pink eye 2-3 weeks in... He had it the same week they pulled his wisdom teeth!!
  • diannep

zest mom:  My theory on all of the illnesses at Bootcamp?  They are flooded with vaccinations when they arrive, too many at once, if you ask me.  Their immune systems are temporarily compromised from this, and then add lots of SRs in close quarters and voila....people get sick!  You will find that as Bootcamp goes along, the illnesses slow down.  Hoping that your SR is restored to good health soon!

    Good Morning Everyone!

  • diannep

...also, pink eye is very common up there.  The only time that it is bad to get it is right before BattleStations since they are not allowed to do BattleStations with pink eye.  Thankfully the drops work quickly and if a SR should miss his/her own BattleStations because of pink eye, he/she should be able to go with another group once healed.

    Greetings on this beautiful Sunday!!

"Speak to one another with psalms, hymns,

and spiritual songs.  Sing and make music

to God the Father for everything in the name of

          our Lord Jesus Christ."

    Good Morning Everyone!

  • Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons

Good morning everyone, My internet was down for two days last week because of storms and when it was finally back up I could not get on this site at all. It was so weird. I ended up having to change my password but couldn't remember the password for my old email I used when joining this site. What a mess lol. I hate having so many passwords lol. I hope you all had a great weekend.

We have our sailor/daughter and grand baby home on leave for a few more days. I can't believe it has been almost 4 years since she joined. She will be getting out of the Navy the end of this month and will be headed to CA soon to join her husband who is also in the Navy and based there. Once she is there she will join the Navy Active Reserves so that will be a whole new experience for her and really for me too. My SIL re-enlisted for 6 more years so it will probably be a long time before they have a chance to move back to the east coast and closer to home. I am going to CA to visit them in June, my first flight ever :-\ lol so keep me in your thoughts and prayers :)

My SR just called.  Said everything is going good (Ship 11 Div 194.  Great to hear his voice!

Hi. My son joined Division 189 at the end of April.  He was in RCU recuperating from a knee injury since the first part of February. He's anxious to complete this, and I'm anxious to see him again, to hug him lots. I saw a picture of his division, I saw him, and it made me happy-happy!! I've got all kinds of positive emotions, and I can't wait to meet my Sailor son. Please hurry, June 6 :)

  • NevadaMom Ship 11 Div 194

sunshine39, you have waited twice as long as any of us to see your SR. congrats on your SR staying the course and sticking through it! see you 6/6

  • CatMom509

    Hello Friends!

"Cast all your anxiety on Him

          because He cares for you."

                                     I Peter 5:7

  • CatMom509

    Navajosunshine39,

Glad to see your SR is back in the game and all healed up!!  Only a few more weeks now~~

  • Navajosunshine39

@NevadaMom, oh yes, it's been just over a 3-month wait, but well worth it because my boy was able to stay & heal. Thank you and I do hope to meet you and other mom's on 6/6. I'm actually planning to attend Old Sarge's get-together the evening before, so if you're there, I will be too.

@CatMom509, yes-yes, my son's back in the game, and is doing well as far as I can tell. I only got one phone call since he went back in, and a couple of letters. When he was in RCU, he called often, and wrote almost everyday, so I got spoiled by that. But I'm glad he got over that 'hump' and is on his way. I'm very excited (YES!!) :)

  • CatMom509

    Friends,

This scripture is so appropriate for the Battlestations that your SRs will be going through soon.  Perhaps you can share it with your SR in a letter now.

           "Fear not, for I have redeemed you;

I have summoned you by name;  you are mine.

            When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;

and when you pass through the rivers,

they will not sweep over you.

When you walk through the fire,

you will not be burned; the flames

will not set you ablaze.  For I am the Lord,

your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior..."

                                                          Isaiah 43:1b-3a

  • RachelL (Ship13_Div196)

Thanks for that Zest mom! I love it!!
  • ChristineLI,NY

CatMom509 Thank you and I will share, but I needed that too!

  • ChristineLI,NY

Zest mom Thank you.  I am printing it and posting it on my fridge! We all need to see our babies soon.

  • ChristineLI,NY

Navajosunshine39 A long journey for you.  Hope to meet you at Sarge's M&G.  Smooth sailing from here on out!

  • CatMom509

Yep, we want all our Navy sons and daughters--Sailors--to be brought home safely to us!!

    You're welcome, ChristineLI~~

  • diannep

Navajo:  So glad that your son is continuing his journey!

    Good Morning Everyone!

  • PatientlyWaitingWifey

I'm looking for a SR with the last name that's starts with "BO " he's is div 930. My husband wrote 3 pages (good) about him!! Wanted to share with his family :)
  • Navajosunshine39

    Hello from Arizona!!

Thank you, everyone, for the beautiful encouraging words for my son. It's been quite a journey so far.

Please pray for rain for our area. Recently, we've been plagued with wildfires throughout our state, and rain would be so wonderful to get. Our winter only had few snow days, so now the area is so dry.  What forests we have are burning, and its sad to see. I love my state, I love this land, I love this country, and I love this world.

  • CatMom509

    Hello All!!

"How precious to me are Your thoughts, O God!

How vast in the sum of them!  If I would count

them, they are more than the sand."

                                                         Psalm 139:17

  • CatMom509

    Navajosunshine,

California is in the same "boat" as Arizona!!  We are in a drought and lots of fires already.  I've prayed for Arizona~~

So weird how many states have more rain/snow than they need and the rest are bone dry...

  • Navajosunshine39

    CatMom509,

Yes, that's right. My son told me in his letters of all the snow and rain they get at Great Lakes.  And I thought that is such a blessing, and I wrote back to him to send it our way (AZ, NM, UT, CO, NV, CA, TX, and everywhere else needing it).

  • diannep

    Good Morning All !

  • ChristineLI,NY

It's sounding like those who are flying out to A school will have the earliest times to get back, maybe even 6:00.  Has anyone planned meal reservations? Given the amount of people who will be in the area eateries will probably be crowded.  Once again, I'm not sure what to do. Any suggestions?

  • Navajosunshine39

Good morning @diannep. Hope u have a wonderful day!
